Gwen Stefani Blamed For Blake Shelton’s ACM Awards Snub, Gwen To Perform In Mini-Concert

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance continues to be celebrated by fans of The Voice who can’t get enough of the unlikely couple’s adorable public displays of affection. However, some of Blake’s fans aren’t on Team Shefani, and they’re beginning to worry that dating Gwen is starting to have a detrimental effect on Blake’s career. Many of these concerned fans believe that Gwen Stefani is to blame for Blake Shelton’s American Country Music Awards snub.

The ACM Awards nominations were just announced, and the Tennessean reports that Blake Shelton was shut out from the list of nominees for the first time since 2008. Because Gwen Stefani’s boyfriend snagged a Grammy nomination in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for “Lonely Tonight,” his duet with Ashley Monroe, many of the singer’s fans are pointing to this as evidence that he also deserved an ACM nod. A few conspiracy theorists have also taken things a step further by claiming that Blake Shelton was snubbed because he divorced Miranda Lambert last summer and started dating Gwen Stefani a few months later. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Miranda Lambert scored three ACM Awards nominations.

Blake Shelton actually hasn’t thrown a Twitter hissy fit about being snubbed by the ACM Awards. A few of his fans let him know that they felt like he was robbed, and he responded by letting them know that he’s actually relieved that he wouldn’t have to attend the awards ceremony. Last year, he hosted the event with Luke Bryan, but this year Luke is sharing co-hosting duty with Dierks Bentley. By skipping the event, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will avoid an awkward run-in with Miranda Lambert and her potential date, new boyfriend Anderson East.

As Hollywood Life reports, Blake Shelton also reassured his fans that he’ll be just fine if he loses at the Grammy Awards. He’s hoping that husband and wife team Rory and Joey Feek will take home the award for their song, “If I Needed You.” Joey Feek is seemingly losing her battle with cancer. Her husband may have to accept their award alone.

Shefani fans might not get to see Gwen Stefani with Blake at the ACM Awards on April 3, but maybe they’ll attend the Grammy Awards together. According to Hollywood Life, there’s some evidence that Gwen Stefani will be performing at the February 15 ceremony. Last month, a choreographer named Tricia Miranda seemingly revealed that background dancers were auditioning to perform with Gwen Stefani at the Grammys.

“Love my team! Thank you for a great day of work… Thank you @mdcdance for having us and thank you to all the dancers today that inspired me and have now made my job extremely hard…. I love it #gwenstefaniauditions #grammys,” Miranda wrote.

There has still been no official confirmation that Gwen Stefani will be performing at the Grammy Awards. Perhaps, the show’s producers were hoping that her appearance would be a surprise. The day after the Grammys, Gwen is definitely booked for another televised performance. According to Beacon Street Online, Gwen is going to perform five or six songs during one of the free mini-concerts that air on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The February 16 performance will be a great way for Gwen Stefani to promote her upcoming solo album, which still doesn’t have a name or release date.

During a recent interview with InStyle, Gwen Stefani hinted that her third solo album will include a few songs about her new cowboy boyfriend.

“I’ve written most of the songs for this album during a tragedy that I turned into a joyful time. It will very much be like looking into my journal when you listen to it.”

Surely the “joyful time” Gwen Stefani referenced includes that time she was gifted with her own horse, and went shopping at a dollar store.

Gwen Stefani has obviously been having a blast with Blake. Hopefully, the “Used To Love You” singer doesn’t get too down about the rumors that she’s to blame for her boyfriend’s ACM Awards snub.
