WWE News: ‘Monday Night Raw’ Results & Updated Card For ‘Fastlane’

In just under three weeks, the WWE will host the second annual Fastlane event on the WWE Network. Between now and then, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar will be the focal point of WWE programming. One of them will win the Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane and go on to face Triple H at WrestleMania 32 in the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The Authority is not fond of Ambrose or Reigns. Lesnar is the lesser of three evils (apparently). Prior to this airing, no other matches had been confirmed for the February 22 special. After the WWE Raw results, an updated WWE Fastlane card is listed.

Note: The following contains the full results for the episode of WWE Monday Night Raw that the USA Network aired on February 1, 2016.

  • The show opened with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman addressing the WWE Universe in Birmingham, Alabama. Dean Ambrose came to the ring and interrupted them. There was no phyiscal confrontation before Dean Ambrose left the ring.
  • WWE United States Champion Kalisto defeated Rusev by count out. It was announced during this match that Alberto Del Rio would receive his obligatory rematch at WWE Fastlane.
  • Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are backstage, as they have been called to Stephanie’s office. They’re told they’ll face The New Day in the main event.

  • Michael Cole gave us a medical update on Nikki Bella and her recent neck surgery. The doctors said the surgery “could not have gone better.”
  • Brie Bella was interviewed backstage by Renee Young. WWE Divas Champion Charlotte interrupted the interview. They have a non-title match later in the show.

  • The Usos defeated the Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Adam Rose) with Heath Slater. Bo Dallas was not with them because, according to Heath Slater, he was in the studio “mixing beats.”
  • A.J. Styles was a guest on MizTV. Miz didn’t really let him talk. After giving his version of the A.J. Styles story, he started comparing Styles to Daniel Bryan. Eventually, The Miz started insulting Styles, so A.J. attacked him and Miz went running.
  • Brie Bella defeated Charlotte when she reversed the Figure Eight with a small package. Charlotte appeared to be blaming Ric Flair, although he didn’t seem to have a real impact on the match.
  • A standard “thoughts and prayers” message was given regarding Bret Hart and his recent revelation that he is battling cancer.
  • The Big Show defeated Erick Rowan in rather short time. Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Braun Strowman attacked Big Show after the match. In real life, a family member of Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas was hospitalized, so neither of them were at Raw.
  • Titus O’Neil defeated Tyler Breeze.
  • Backstage, Brock Lesnar and Triple H meet face-to-face. Triple H asks him if he has gone soft, since he didn’t attack Dean Ambrose earlier.
  • A.J. Styles vs. The Miz was announced for this week’s WWE Thursday Night SmackDown.
  • Dolph Ziggler defeated Kevin Owens after reversing the Pop-Up Powerbomb into the Zig Zag.

  • Sasha Banks comes to the ring without Naomi or Tamina. She makes it clear that she’s going to be the WWE Divas Championship. Naomi and Tamina came out as Sasha was ending her promo. By the end of the segment, they had all made friends again, although Team B.A.D. is essentially a thing of the past.
  • Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks had a very competitive match that ended when Naomi and Tamina pulled Sasha out of the ring and face-first on to the floor. As they continue to beat on Sasha, Becky makes the save.
  • Chris Jericho is interviewed backstage by Renee Young. He talks respectfully about A.J. Styles and his impressive string of matches.
  • Goldust found R-Truthin the bathroom and asked him again if he would be his tag team partner. R-Truth declines.
  • After a commercial break, Roman Reigns vs. Rusev and A.J. Styles vs. The Miz were both advertised for SmackDown.
  • The New Day give another great promo as they always do. They respond to The Rock‘s actions from last week’s WWE Raw before cutting a promo on their opponents for the night. Paul Heyman is at ringside with the commentary team. Lesnar is not with him.
  • Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated Big E and Kofi Kingston while Xavier Woods remained at ringside.

  • After the match, Brock Lesnar approached the ring. The New Day attacked Ambrose and Reigns from behind. Eventually, Lesnar was alone in the ring with Ambrose, and he hit him with the F5 as WWE Raw went off the air.
