NeNe Leakes Hints Kim Fields May Not Be Right For The ‘RHOA’ Group

NeNe Leakes made her triumphant return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta last night and she had a grand entry in Jamaica to shock the group. While some of the ladies were thrilled about her return, some of the ladies were less than impressed. In fact, Kenya Moore ended up leaving the table after the dinner, because she felt that the other ladies didn’t really listen to her side of the story. The group was clearly divided. But rather than focus on Kenya’s drama with Kim Fields, NeNe hints that Kim may not be the right fit for the group.

According to a new Bravo report, NeNe Leakes was surprised to see Kim on the trip with the ladies. Of course, Fields stood out like a sore thumb as she showed up to the trip with her husband, kids, and nanny in tow. The trip was supposed to be an adult trip, where the couples could drink, gossip, and stay up late. But Fields didn’t think about leaving the kids at home.

“Meeting Kim Fields for the first time — she was quiet but nice. She seemed to be an odd fit for this group. Her husband was doing most of the talking,” Leakes revealed to Bravo after watching Sunday’s episode back.

And Leakes herself had some hesitations in returning to the group. The dynamics have really changed in Atlanta. NeNe and Cynthia Bailey used to be friends, and then they had a dramatic feud. Then, Cynthia and Kenya Moore started a friendship and Moore felt they were close friends. But as soon as NeNe and Bailey made peace, Moore was pushed out. And she didn’t like that at all. And NeNe wasn’t sure about returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta and the group of ladies.

“At first I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to surprise the ladies or not, because mentally I was in a totally different head space that was peaceful. I didn’t know if they would receive me well. I also had heard there were some new and old faces around, so I wasn’t sure if our energies would work together,” Leakes revealed to Bravo.

And while she had a good time in Jamaica with the group, she wasn’t happy that Kenya was calling her a backstabber. NeNe was shocked that Moore would even comment on her friendship with Cynthia Bailey, especially since she’s only watched things from the sideline.

“I must also address the comments from Kenya, saying I backstabbed Cynthia: I didn’t take kindly to being called a ‘backstabber,’ which is nowhere near my character! I am a lot of things, and I own most of them loud and proud with no problem. Cynthia and I were friends who had a public falling out. We both said things towards each other that were hurtful. There are no victims here! I did no more to her than she did to me! When a person is salty like Kenya is, they try and take you backwards. I’m not in the business of driving my car backwards; I’m in a great place in my life,” Leakes tells Bravo after Sunday’s episode.

But Leakes may have a point with Kim Fields not fitting into the group. While Kim had great intentions with the show, the ladies quickly started questioning her marriage. And it wasn’t whether she was happy with her husband, but according to Wetpaint Entertainment, Sheree Whitfield questioned whether Fields’ husband was gay. Sheree hinted that people were talking on the streets.
