Video asks: is the iPhone 3G S water resistant?

Many people may use their iPhone in place of a watch, but unlike a watch the Jesus phone isn’t meant to be water resistant…until now.

In the following video, a man drops his iPhone 3G S into a swimming pool while recording video, then retrieves it, and the whole thing is captured on the phone.

Engadget is concerned it may be an elaborate hoax, and watching it I smell a rat as well, for example the phone is fished out awfully quickly. That aside though, if it is a hoax, it’s a clever one. Here’s the video that asks: is the iPhone 3G S water resistant?
