‘Game Of Thrones’ Cast Members Tease Season 6 And What Happens To Jon Snow, Sansa Stark

Game of Thrones season 6 is coming and the show’s stars were on the SAG Awards red carpet teasing fans on what to expect, E! Online reports.

“Legitimately, this season almost killed us,” Emilia Clarke said to E!. “Like, it is epic. Like, it’s huge. It’s insane. It’s silly.”

Emilia Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, also known as the Mother of Dragons. Last time we saw her she faced an uncertain fate, separated from her trusted advisers, and surrounded by hordes of ferocious horse lords.

But the main question most fans have is whether Jon Snow is still alive. Snow was stabbed by his brothers in black last season and the show is known for killing off favorite characters. But as E! Online notes, Kit Harington, the actor who plays Jon Snow, has been seen on the Game of Thrones season 6 set and has been used in the promotional art for the next season.

According to E! Online, Harington walked the SAG Awards red carpet, but did not chat with reporters. Many Game of Thrones fan forums believe that Jon Snow will return in season 6 in some way and there are many fan theories on how it will happen.

Another character whose fate is up in the air is Sansa Stark. In season 5 of Game of Thrones, Sansa was depicted as a victim, although she escaped from her sadistic husband in the final episode of the season.

Actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa on GOT, told E! News that her character goes through an evolution in season 6. In season 6, Sansa “will gain all the respect she deserves,” Turner says.

“It’s a big year for her,” Turner said.

Turner delved a little deeper into what we can expect from her character in Game of Thrones season 6 in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“I mean this season there’s like so many shocks, it’s massive, it’s the biggest season yet. And just like in terms of character development, so many people’s storylines, I’m so excited for. I’m so excited to see Alfie’s one this season. It’s going to be good.”

Sansa says that fans will finally get the Sansa Stark story that they’ve been craving since season 1.

“It was amazing because the past five seasons, it feels like it’s been building up and up to that,” she said. “You can only suffer so much before she finally gets her, the respect that she deserves.”

The upcoming season of Game of Thrones will veer into new territory. For the first time since season 1 the show won’t be relying on source material from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series. Earlier this month, Martin announced that he will not be able to complete the next book in the series, Winds of Winter, in time for the Game of Thrones season 6 premiere. So unlike previous seasons, fans of the book series won’t be able to predict key plot points in the television show.

In other Game of Thrones news, it looks like Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, his former co-star, are back in a relationship. Rose Leslie once played Jon Snow’s wildling lover Ygritte.

The two once dated in 2012 but broke up. But they seem to be on again as they were seen holding hands on a shopping trip in Los Angeles. The 29-year-old actor and 28-year-old actress were seen being very affectionate with each other and kissing.

A fan posted this photo on Instagram in August of Rose and Kit looking very close at Heathrow Airport. The actors, who are known for being very private about their personal lives, have not commented about their rekindled romance.
