Vanessa Paradis All Smiles In First Public Appearance Since Johnny Depp Split

French star Vanessa Paradis returned to the spotlight earlier this week making her first public appearance since confirming her split from Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

On Monday, the newly single 39-year-old singer-actress put on a brave face as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of her film “Je me Suis Fait Tout Petit” in Paris.

The film, which translates to ‘I Made Myself Very Small’ in English, tells the story of a man going through a midlife crisis when his wife leaves him.

According to the Sun, Vanessa takes on the role a beautiful stranger, Emmanuelle, who helps give the man a new reason to live.

In stark contrast to her gaunt, pale appearance in Los Angeles just days before news of her split from Depp was announced, Paradis looked healthy and chic as she opted for a casual style in jeans and heels with a black T-shirt, silk blazer and layered gold necklaces.

Parents to kids Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 10, Paradis and Depp, 49, were officially together for 14 years, although they never married.

Though news of their split was confirmed just last month, the couple were said to have called it quits in 2010, after Paradis decided that she could not go on, but decided not to announce it.

Reports have suggested that couple ended their relationship following Johnny’s alleged close relationship with his ‘The Rum Diaries’ co-star Amber Heard.

Vanessa allegedly found texts on the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star’s phone from the actress, which caused problems in their relationship.

If it’s any consolation, Depp will allegedly handover $150 million — half of his estimated $300 million net worth — in a split settlement to Paradis.
