Fans can watch the Congo DR vs. Rwanda football match live online and see which team can play through to the semifinals of the 2016 African Nations Championship.

The teams both advanced out of group play and have a chance to reach the final four of the continent-wide tournament.

There is already plenty of excitement surrounding the match, with Rwanda’s coach Johnny McKinstry calling it the “game of the tournament.” The teams will face each other Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Rwanda’s capital city Kigali in the Amahoro National stadium.

If Rwanda is able to pull off the victory, it would likely be one of the biggest upsets in the nation’s history and a testament to the work McKinstry has done in the last year. Since being named Rwanda’s coach in March 2015, he has turned the team into a winning program, including a second-place finish at the Cecafa Senior Challenge cup in Ethiopia in December.

But fans who watch the Congo DR vs. Rwanda football match live online will see a very difficult contest for the hosts, with even McKinstry admitting as much.

“DRC is the most difficult opponent we could have faced. They have started the tournament in scintillating form,” McKinstry told the Rwanda Football Association (Ferwafa) website (via CAF Online). “Despite our 1-0 win in the pre-CHAN friendly, it was clear from that game in Rubavu that DRC would be one of the favourites from the way they have played. We have to be at our best to beat them,” he added. “It’s the game of the tournament.”

Fans who watch the Congo DR vs. Rwanda live online will see two teams that sacrificed momentum in the final match in return for health. With both leading the group stage and securing spots in the quarterfinals, they took some key players out for the final match, and both Congo DR and Rwanda ended up with big losses as a result.

Even though he was fielding less than a full team, Congo DR’s coach Florent Ibenge was still disappointed with his team’s final 3-1 loss to Cameroon.

“I really have bad feelings,” he said (via CAF online). “The defense played badly. They failed to stop the Cameroonians, and the midfielders and strikers as well didn’t play good. We didn’t want to take risk because we had some players with cautions from the previous matches.”

But Ibenge added that his team is ready to take on the host nation and the unfriendly crowd in Kigali.

“We have no problem with opponents at the next round. We fear no team. At the last edition in South Africa, we were eliminated at the quarter finals stage. We are not scared of Rwanda. Football is all about fan and we will do it. We are always committed either we are playing against a host or any other opponent.”

Guy Lusadisu, the captain of Congo DR, added that his team isn’t about to overlook the resurgent Rwanda squad.

“Rwanda is a good team. They are the host country but we will be prepared for the match,” he said. “My message to our fans is that this defeat is a lesson and it will help us to concentrate and to take things more seriously. We promise to do better in the next game.”
