Kim Richards’ Sister, Kathy Hilton, Says Entire Family Celebrated Monty Brinson’s Life

The funeral for Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, has apparently already taken place. On Thursday, Kim’s sister, Kathy Hilton, posted several tweets in which she talked about how the entire family, including Kyle Richards presumably, got together to celebrate Monty’s life.

Kathy said that it felt good to have all of the family in one room celebrating Monty’s life.

Kathy said that she was very proud of Kim and Monty’s other family members, who made beautiful speeches at the event. Kathy added that Kim’s son, Chad, “brought the house” down with his speech honoring Monty.

Kathy thanked everyone who was with them to celebrate Monty’s life. She called him “a new guardian angel in Heaven.”

Kathy also thanked her Twitter supporters.

Update: Kyle has denied the claim that she and her family didn’t attend Monty’s funeral.

Kathy’s husband, Rick Hilton, revealed that Monty, who battled lung cancer for years, passed away on Sunday. The following day, Kim posted a touching tribute to Monty. She accompanied her tribute with a photo of Monty dancing with her at their daughter’s wedding.

Monty and Kim’s daughter, Brooke Brinson, also posted a heartfelt tribute to her dad a day after his passing.

On Friday, Brooke thanked everyone for their love and support. Kathy left a comment to tell her how proud she is of her.

“I can smell those flowers!!! I’m so proud of u & Thayer, your speeches were so touching. XxOo.”

Monty Brinson and Kim Richards were married only for a few years, from 1985 to 1988, during which they had one child, Brooke. Yet they remained very close throughout the years. As Kim’s sobriety, rehab stays and arrests made headlines, Monty constantly defended Kim and expressed his support of her via his Instagram page.

On Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, viewers saw Monty walk Brooke down the aisle at her small wedding in Beverly Hills. The wedding took place at Rick and Kathy Hilton’s house. As Kyle Richards explained in a blog post, Brooke, prior to her big wedding in Cabo, had a smaller wedding in Beverly Hills so that her father could walk her down the aisle.

Kyle, in her tribute to Monty, included two photos of Monty at Brooke’s wedding. One photo shows him with his arm around Kim.

Kyle and Kim’s sibling relationship deteriorated after the small wedding. At the Season 5 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion show, Kyle and Kim hurled accusations and yelled at one another. Kyle accused Kim of not wanting to invite her to Brooke’s Cabo wedding. Kyle sobbed as she screamed that she loves Kim’s children like her own. Kim and Kyle also argued about the extent of the injury that Kyle’s daughter, Alexia, suffered from Kim’s dog biting her. After filming the reunion show, the two women didn’t speak for months.

While the show’s current season still shows Kyle and Kim having a strained relationship, all seems to be well between them now. As reported by the Inquisitr three weeks ago, in celebration of Kyle’s birthday, both Kyle and Kim publicly declared that they love one another.

As for Kyle’s relationship with Kathy, which was revealed to also have its own troubles after it came to light on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills several weeks ago that Kathy initially dis-invited Kyle to her daughter Nicky Hilton’s wedding, Kyle hinted that all was well when she posted a photo of herself with Kathy at Kris Jenner’s Christmas Eve party.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kyle Richards, confirming that Nicky Hilton is pregnant, has also recently expressed hope that she, Kathy Hilton, and Kim Richards will become closer now that they will soon have a new baby in the family.
