Is Hilary Duff Reconciling With Ex-Husband Mike Comrie?

Hilary Duff is opening up about her relationship status with former husband Mike Comrie.

Duff was candid about her marital status during a new interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she confirmed that she and Mike are no longer a couple and are pretty unlikely to ever reconcile.

Hilary made the admission after the daytime talk show host asked Duff, who’s currently appearing in the TVLand comedy Younger, “You’re no longer with your husband?” to which Hilary simply replied, “Right.”

“We have such a great kid and we’re both obsessed with him,” Hilary Duff continued to DeGeneres, speaking of the couple’s 3-year-old son, Luca. “We’re good friends and we laugh a lot. We have a great communication and we share pictures when one is not with Luca,” Duff continued, “He’s great, we are great and we keep on trucking.”

While Hilary confessed that she and her former husband have separated, Duff and her ex recently stirred up reunion rumors after they were spotted together on what appeared to be a date.

Duff and Comrie, who married in 2010 but split four years later, were spotted getting cozy this past August after an eyewitness who spoke to OK! Magazine revealed that “Hilary and Mike were very affectionate” during their time together and were “openly kissing and touching.”

The source also confirmed that Luca was not with Hilary and Mike on their allegedly romantic night out, which the eyewitness revealed “seemed like more of a date” than a platonic meeting to discuss their son.

Duff and her former husband were later seen getting close just before Christmas, after JustJared reported that they appeared to be doing some Holiday shopping for Luca in late November.

If Duff’s latest chat with DeGeneres is anything to go by, it appears that the two have no plans to rekindle their former romance anytime soon.

Hilary’s latest admission about her relationship with her ex comes just days after the former Lizzie McGuire actress confessed to Redbook that she wouldn’t say no to getting married again somewhere down the line.

“I don’t want to say I wouldn’t get married again, but it’s not important to me,” Hilary Duff revealed in a recent issue of the fashion magazine. “I don’t feel I would need to be married to have another child. If I felt strongly enough toward someone or if someone felt strongly about it, I might say okay. But it’s not essential.”

As fans of Hilary and Mike will already know, the former couple announced their split in 2014 after four years of marriage and Duff officially filed for divorce in March 2015.

“Mike and I were very in love when we met. We both really wanted to get married. I’d been working since the age of 11 or 12, so making that choice at a young age seemed right for me,” Hilary Duff told Us Weekly in 2015, following her divorce announcement. “Maybe it wasn’t, but we spent the majority of our time together really happy,” Duff said.

Hilary also got pretty candid about her divorce in an in-depth interview with Cosmopolitan last year, where she admitted that she wasn’t feeling bitter about the split.

“I don’t want to sound bitter because I’m definitely not, but I don’t know if people are meant to be together forever,” Duff said at the time. “Things happen over a long relationship that you can’t always fight. A marriage of 20 years, the accomplishment of that must feel really great, but there are also huge sacrifices. I just always want to fight for happiness.”
