Donald Trump Election

Donald Trump’s Fans Butcher Megyn Kelly On Twitter

Donald Trump isn’t a big fan of Megyn Kelly, who doesn’t seem to care. More than not caring, it’s almost safe to say that Kelly dislikes Trump too. They have been engaged in a war of words and actions since Kelly asked Trump some uncomfortable questions in a Fox News debate last fall. Megyn Kelly was the main reason that caused Trump to skip the Fox News GOP debate on Thursday evening. The Washington Post broke the news.

“Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump abruptly announced here Tuesday that he would not participate in Thursday’s scheduled debate, escalating his off-and-on feud with Fox News Channel and throwing the GOP campaign into turmoil.”

While the Washington Post put a somewhat positive spin on Trump’s, once again, defiance of the conventional rule of politics, others weren’t so kind. On his show Wednesday evening, Bill O’Reilly told Trump he was making a mistake.

“Most politicians would have dodged this interview, but I have to tell you something, I don’t think not showing up at the debate tomorrow night is good for America. Voters are still assessing you. They need to see you in high-profile situations. Or am I wrong?” O’Reilly asked Trump according to a transcript of the show.

“I have zero respect for Megyn Kelly. I don’t think she’s very good at what she does. I think she’s highly overrated. And, frankly, she’s the moderator,” Trump answered.

Bill O’Reilly repeated the idea to Trump that by walking away from the debate, he is losing the opportunity to persuade people that he is a strong leader.

According to the New York Daily News, Trump continued his campaign against Megyn Kelly Thursday by calling her a “bimbo.”

“Donald Trump’s mudslinging on Megyn Kelly took a nasty turn Thursday ahead of the Fox News debate he has refused to attend. Trump retweeted a doctored image of Kelly and an Internet meme calling the debate moderator a ‘bimbo’ for pictures she posed for alongside a 2010 GQ magazine article.”

Donald Trump’s fans jumped into what some call sexist bashing on Twitter.

After an article on Breitbart about Fox News putting Megyn Kelly’s interest ahead of the country’s, comments about Megyn Kelly were very angry.

“Kelly is his golden child. After you take off her boobs, her eyelashes, her hair extensions, her but lift, she is just average. I heard, Kelly had an affair with Brit Hume and broke up his marriage,” claimed a commenter called “peanut.”

“I think you hit it spot on.. The auditorium wasn’t big enough to contain Kelly’s ego, so somebody had to do the right thing and bow out!” answered J. Bielot.

It remains to be seen how skipping out of the Fox News debate and making what may consider misogynist comments about Megyn Kelly affects Donald’s poll numbers. Judging from his history, Trump’s actions will only help his presidential campaign, not hurt it.
