Kristin Chenoweth Rushed To Hospital: Actress Was “Knocked Out Cold” On “The Good Wife” Set


BROOKLYN, New York – Actress Kristin Chenoweth was rushed the hospital late in the afternoon Wednesday after suffering an injury on the set of The Good Wife in Brooklyn.

TMZ tells of a source connected to the CBS show that said Chenoweth was hit by a piece of lighting equipment, causing her to fall to the ground. She hit her head on the concrete when she went down, thereafter requiring medical attention. Someone on the set called 911 around 5:00 p.m. reporting that a woman had been hit in the head by a piece of scaffolding. A witness to the scene said that the “area is vortex for wind … and a big gust of wind blew the lighting off the scaffolding,” which then fell and struck the actress.

The witness also said that Chenoweth was hit “square in the head” and that it looked as though she was “knocked out cold.” The witness also said that “I thought she was dead at first.”

She was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital where she is reportedly being treated for “minor injuries.”

Chenoweth is plays a reporter on season four of the hit CBS legal drama, according to Broadway. Her accomplishments include a Tony Award for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown as well as spots on Broadway in Wicked, Promises, Promises, The Apple Tree, Epic Proportions and Steel Pier. She is also a regular staple in film and television, having starred in Annie, Bewitched, The West Wing, Stranger Than Fiction, The Pink Panther, Glee, Running With Scissors, GCB and earned an Emmy in 2009 for her performance in Pushing Daisies.
