Jon Gosselin Says Kate Is Keeping The Kids Away From Him

Jon Gosselin has some major regrets about leaving his joint reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 after his split from wife Kate Gosselin. While Kate has made a brand for herself, using the image of her eight children and her last name, Gosselin has found himself outside of that circle and has been in duress ever since he left the TLC show, for a more private life.

As you might remember, what was once originally television specials around the Gosselins turned into a full-fledged reality show about their lives with their eight children. They were basically the prototype for the Duggars. They were relatable, and it seemed like every moment they shared was documented — including Jon and Kate’s tumultuous split.

Years after the show, Jon Gosselin has claimed that his financially-stable ex is keeping the kids away from him. Gosselin sat down with Radar Online for an interview, and he didn’t hold back as he explained his life once the cameras shut off.

At the time, Jon said, “The fact that I haven’t had all of my kids together in three years really upsets me. Kids need their fathers and I make sure to let them know how much I love them and am there for them.”

According to Gosselin, TLC isn’t a totally innocent party either, as he claims that the network tried to keep the kids away from him as well, and during the times where they were featured on the show during their impending divorce, Gosselin said it felt “forced.”

“It felt forced, rather than organically coming back together as a unit,” he explained.

Although there have been many reports on Gosselin’s financial woes since he left the TLC show, it was reported by Lancaster Online, a local Philadelphia paper, that he just snagged a DJ residency at Chameleon Club.

Taking a residency in Lancaster seems like a no-brainer for the former reality star, as his children attend Lancaster Country Day School.

As for leaving the show, that is a major regret, Gosselin said.

“The show provided a means of living in a very rewarding way. I got to see my kids all the time while working.”

All of that considered, Jon Gosselin has managed to keep a positive outlook on his life, telling Radar Online, “Forgiveness is what I choose to focus on rather than the negative.”

The last big headline we heard about Jon Gosselin was the owner of Ed Hardy attributing Gosselin to the collapse of his fashion empire in 2013. Right after Gosselin’s public split with Kate, he was immediately seen as the bad guy in the divorce, who rumored to be a “deadbeat” dad. Gosselin has vehemently denied that claim in the past. Soon after he was photographed with a much younger girlfriend, and all the while, he was wearing Ed Hardy T-shirts.

At the time Hardy told the New York Post about his clothing brand’s demise.

“That Jon Gosselin thing was the nail in the coffin. That’s what tanked it. Macy’s used to have a huge window display with Ed Hardy, and it filtered down and that’s why Macy’s dropped the brand.”

In 2010, the company closed its doors and was forced to liquidate their assets. This coincided with Gosselin’s own demise in the public. These days, it looks like Gosselin leaves the flashy clothing to the professionals.
