Jill Duggar Dillard Could Be Using Birth Control Due To Zika Virus
Jill Duggar Dillard is part of the Duggar family of 19 Kids and Counting, and this family doesn’t believe in birth control at all. Instead, they actually just let nature happen, and this is how Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar ended up with 19 children. Anna and Josh Duggar already have four children and Jessa and Jill both have one. Now it looks like Jill Duggar Dillard can no longer avoid birth control because of the Zika virus, which is a huge threat in El Salvador where she is at now. The Hollywood Gossip shared all about what is going on in El Salvador, where Jill and her husband Derick are living and doing mission work right now. They have been there for a while now.
So, here is what is going on right now in their area. Like many other Central American nations, El Salvador is currently under threat from the mosquito-borne Zika virus. This disease can actually cause microcephaly and other serious birth defects when pregnant women are infected. Because of this, women in the area are being advised not to get pregnant. If Jill Duggar Dillard is listening, then she is using birth control, which is totally against her religion and the way that the Duggars live. This has everyone wondering if Jill is risking her life or that of a future baby or if Jill is using birth control.

Right now the CDC is saying that if you are pregnant, then you should not go to this area of the world. Jill Duggar Dillard is already living there, and unless she hasn’t shared with fans, Jill isn’t pregnant just yet. The possibility of getting the Zika virus can be harmful, and women are told to “avoid getting pregnant between this year and next” or risk birth defects and even infant death. Another option for Jill and Derick Dillard would be to decide to cut their trip short, but right now they haven’t shared that they plan to do this at all.

CBS News shared that a baby was born in Hawaii with brain damage and it is being linked to the Zika virus. If Jill Duggar Dillard doesn’t use birth control, then she is chancing this happening to her child as well. This was the first United States baby to be born with Zika virus. The baby also had a head that is smaller than normal when born. This virus can be transmitted through mosquito bites. So far, this virus has affected 440,000 and 1.3 million people in Brazil since last May, officials estimate. It has reached 13 countries. Symptoms of Zika virus include fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis. They are saying the mother probably picked up the virus while she was living in Brazil. There is no risk of either one of them transmitting the disease to someone else though.
Fans would love to hear from Jill Dillard Duggar on her thoughts about this Zika virus and what her plans are. So far, Jill and Derick are both being quiet about if they are using birth control or not. More than likely the Dillards will just refuse to talk about it and they just won’t end up getting pregnant right away. Another question is what Jill is teaching mothers in the area. Jill is a midwife and has shared that working with expectant mothers is important to her.
