Jon Gosselin Says TLC Tried To Keep Him From Divorcing Kate Gosselin
Jon Gosselin is now speaking out and saying that TLC tried to keep him from divorcing Kate Gosselin. The couple has eight kids together, and they split from each other six years ago. Radar Online shared that Jon Gosselin is now revealing that they wanted him to stay married to her, but, of course, Jon didn’t do that just to make the show’s producers happy.
Jon Gosselin recently sat down with Steve Harvey for an interview. He revealed a lot about what happened with Kate Gosselin during their marriage and show. Here is part of what Jon had to say about it.
“We knew we were going to get divorced and then [TLC] tried to keep us together for the benefit of the show. So I quit. I said, ‘I’m not having my divorce filmed. I’m not having it aired out for the public’s consumption. And I’m not having reruns so my children can keep on watching the demise of their parents.”
He could have stayed on the show and made the money, but Jon Gosselin wasn’t willing to do that just for a paycheck.
He went on to share more, saying, “I just took a moral stance versus a business stance. I lost everything. I lost all my money. I lost everything. The network sided with my ex-wife.”
Yahoo Celebrity reported that Jon Gosselin is sharing that things are not perfect between Kate and Jon even to this day. Jon shared that he actually hasn’t been able to see all of his kids at once in years. Jon gets visitation, but he never has all eight of them at the same time. Of course, Kate Gosselin has all of them at the same time when at home.
Jon Gosselin gets the chance to have dinner with his kids once a week. Jon said that most of the time, he gets four of his kids at a time, but it doesn’t sound like it is the same four all the time. Gosselin even shared that he never knows ahead of time who he is going to get. He will just get whichever kids come down the driveway. Of course, Jon Gosselin doesn’t seem happy with this but acts like there is nothing he can do to change it.
Jon Gosselin did go on to explain that he hasn’t seen one of his sons in a year and a half. He didn’t say which child or if there is a reason that he doesn’t get to see this one kid, but that is the case. Jon shared that he doesn’t know why he hasn’t seen him, and he doesn’t even get to communicate with him.
He did share that he could get married again. Jon Gosselin hasn’t ruled that out just yet, and you never know what will happen. Gosselin seems pretty happy in his life and dating Colleen Conrad, but his divorce hasn’t been ideal. As of right now, Jon Gosselin and Colleen Conrad are not engaged. Jon is still working really hard as a DJ and is always posting pics of where he is going to be working and what is going on.
