Queen Of Clown Porn, Hollie Stevens, Dies Age 30

The so-called ‘Queen of Clown Porn’, Hollie Stevens, has died after spending a year battling breast cancer. She was 30.

While the alt-adult performer was most well-known for her work in niche pornography, Hollie was also a gifted painter (whose works hang in the Hyena Gallery in Burbank), a long-time writer, a DJ, a performance artist, a model for Girls and Corpses magazine and a kickboxing champion.

Vanessa Pinto has recounted Hollie’s life in a touching obituary at SF Weekly, in which she reflects on how fans and supporters helped raise $16,000 for Hollie’s treatment. Stevens was a young woman who struggled with acquiring affordable health insurance, as she admitted in an interview earlier this year:

“I noticed [the lump on my breast] and paid attention to it, but going to the doctor is hard when you don’t have insurance.”

In her obituary, Pinto reflected on how Stevens was beginning to make serious headway in her chosen profession when she was diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic breast cancer at 29:

Debuting in 2000 as feature dancer, “Holly Wood,” she traveled across the U.S. performing to packed houses. She was nominated for an AVN in 2004 for Best Group Sex Scene, (The Bachleor) and won the AVN award in 2004 for Best All-Girl Scene (The Violation of Jessica Darlin). Hollie performed in over 170 titles as well as being featured on kink.com, DungeonCorp.com, hogtied.com, chantasbitches.com, The Howard Stern Show, performing at the Lusty Lady, and more.

Pinto goes on to reflect on how Stevens wished to be remembered:

“I hope people know I’m always myself. I take pride in what others think may be weird about me! [she laughed for about 10 seconds and then said:] I’d also want people to know what I love most, what what makes me happy, is being a friend and a wife. That’s what I would want them to know and remember.”
