Donald Trump Fires Back At Glenn Beck — ‘Doesn’t Have The Right To Vote In The Primary’

Donald Trump has developed a reputation this election cycle for lashing out at reporters and television personalities who say anything against him, and Glenn Beck is no exception. In his latest tirade, Trump has declared Beck “dumb as a rock,” and is questioning Beck’s party registration.

Glenn Beck’s recent vocal criticism of Trump was harsh. He spoke at a rally for Ted Cruz, and while endorsing Cruz for President, the popular conservative talk show host was outspoken about why he would not endorse Trump.

According to CNN, Beck called Donald Trump a “snowball to hell,” and said Trump owes an apology to America, and to conservatives in particular.

“… for being arrogant and self-centered and for clashing with the Tea Party.”

Gateway Pundit reports that Beck went even beyond that, to announce that he preferred Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders over Trump.

More specifically, Beck said that he Sanders fulfilled his basic requirements: honesty, faith, and truth — a statement that, alongside his comments about Trump, is being read as a statement that Trump lacks these.

Trump fired back late Saturday evening, tweeting that he’d heard Beck was no longer eligible to vote in the Republican primary. Claims of Beck changing his party affiliation don’t seem to fit well with an endorsement for Cruz, though.

It’s hardly the first time the two have exchanged harsh words.

Beck posted a long statement on Facebook back in August, questioning why conservatives would consider endorsing Donald Trump. Listing the many ways in which he perceived Trump to be a failure as a presidential candidate, he said the following.

“He is part of the problem when he by his own admission, buys politicians; he said he identifies his ‘policies more as a democrat’; he makes President Obama look truly humble; he was very pro abortion until very recently; he still says ‘don’t defund planned parenthood’; he is pro ‘assault weapon ban’; he is in favor of a wealth tax that would just ‘take money out of people’s bank accounts’; he is for boots on the ground in Iraq and ‘taking the oil’ from the Iraqi people; he is a progressive ‘republican’; he says single payer health care works; he said he would give people more than just Obama care; the First Lady would be the first to have posed nude in lesbian porno shots; he said that he keeps all the bibles he is given in a ‘special place’ out side the city — and he only goes to church on Christmas and Easter; he is generally not a likable guy; he has around 16% favorability with Hispanics and he has gone bankrupt 4 times.”

The full text of Beck’s post can be read here, but essentially, the rest questions why well-known and high-profile conservatives would endorse Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump has tweeted to declare Beck irrelevant, “wacky,” and a “basketcase,” and “fired like a dog.”

Though the feud appears to be long-standing, it seems to have been rekindled strongly just over a week ago when Beck shared an image of a tweet appearing to be from Trump. Though the tweet appears to be from Donald Trump’s Twitter account, from 2012, and to declare that he voted for Obama, it is actually fake and made at Fake Trump Tweet — a site devoted to creating exactly what the title suggests.

(One hint that the tweet is not from Donald Trump’s actual Twitter is the absence of a blue ‘verified’ check mark in the image.)

Beck apologized for sharing the fake tweet, but then proceeded to publish on his own site a list of reasons he still believes Trump voted for Obama in 2012. Though the list was preceded and followed with self-deprecating jokes about falling for various other email scams and hoaxes, the list itself focuses on Trump’s publicly stated political views (or Beck’s interpretations thereof) and appears to be serious.

A short time before the Cruz rally, Beck also tweeted a declaration that Donald Trump should seek forgiveness.
