Anna Duggar has updated fans on how she’s doing five months after her husband, Josh Duggar, admitted to cheating on her and enrolled himself in the faith-based Reformers Unanimous treatment program in Rockford, Illinois. Anna and her four children are currently staying at Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s house in Arkansas while Josh spends his days praying and studying the Bible.
Because Josh Duggar is thousands of miles away, Anna Duggar probably hasn’t had a lot of time to talk things out with her husband. However, she’s made it clear that she will not be divorcing Josh, and she’s trying her best to put a positive spin on her situation. In a short blog post on the Duggar Family website, Anna actually claims that Josh Duggar’s cheating has strengthened her faith.
“Many have asked how I am doing. So many have asked that its actually humbling and touching. 2015 was the most difficult year of my life. Yet, amazingly I’ve found that in my own life crisis God has drawn near to me (‘He’s near to the brokenhearted’ Psalms 34:18) and my faith has been more precious to me than ever before.”
According to Radar Online, there are rumors that Anna Duggar got pregnant with her fifth child during an overnight visit with Josh Duggar at Reformers Unanimous, and she sees this “blessing” as a sign that she should continue standing by her man.
“Anna announced that she thinks she is pregnant again,” a family insider told Life & Style. “She believes the baby is a sign that God has forgiven Josh for his many sins, and she’s vowed to stand by her husband.”
In her blog post, Anna Duggar didn’t directly respond to the rumors that she is pregnant, but she did admit that she’s visited Josh at Reformers Unanimous.
“Just recently I visited Josh. It was an important step on a long difficult road.”
This makes it sound like Anna Duggar’s recent visit was the first one that she made to Reformers, and it seems highly unlikely that one visit would result in a pregnancy. However, there have been numerous reports of the Duggar family plane flying out to Rockford, Illinois, and People claims that one of her visits was three days long. It’s possible that Anna carefully chose the words above to make it sound like she just visited Josh for the first time when she’s actually flown out to see him before – she does say that the visit was an “important step,” not the first step. However, there’s also a chance that Anna Duggar was not one of the Duggar family members on the plane during those visits.

During the three-part Jill & Jessa: Counting On special, Anna Duggar said that she’s relying on her faith to fix her marriage, not another baby (at least not yet). She said that she’s going to “wait patiently” for God to sort things out, and she’s hopeful that her marriage can be restored. However, as the Inquisitr previously reported, there’s been some speculation that she’s only staying with Josh because she’s become fond of the fame that comes from her attachment to the Duggar family – she obviously wanted to be back on TV with her in-laws, or she wouldn’t have appeared on the Jill & Jessa: Counting On specials.
Anna Duggar might also miss her life as the wife of a right-wing political activist. She was recently photographed attending the March for Life in Little Rock, Arkansas, alongside a few of her in-laws. Before Josh Duggar lost his dream job with the anti-gay, anti-choice Family Research Council (FRC), he and Anna would be invited to attend similar political events. Last year, Josh spoke at the much larger March for Life in Washington, D.C.
Radar Online reports that the Duggars have been spotted filming with TLC again, so perhaps Anna Duggar is starting to put herself out there more as a way to score a little free publicity for a new Duggar family TV series that will soon be announced. Josh Duggar is expected to return home next month, so it’s even possible that she’s prepping fans for her husband’s sure-to-be-controversial return to TV.
