Gwen Stefani Wore Same T-Shirt Every Day While Writing New Album — Will She Perform At Grammys?

Gwen Stefani made a mark on the world of music and style back in the 90s while storming onto the scene as the No Doubt frontwoman. Her punk style and bright red-lipped look, along with her catchy beats on the band’s Tragic Kingdom album, enticed a whole new trend in fashion and ska music.

Two decades later, the blond bombshell has not simply faded into 90s has-been land. Stefani has remained relevant musically and style-wise and has now even fittingly launched her own Urban Decay line of lipsticks ranging in a variety of bright Gwen-inspired shades. What’s even better is that while branching out and dabbling in beauty and fashion, as well as appearing as a judge on the hit show The Voice, Stefani has still managed to hit the recording studio to finish off her highly anticipated album.

Refinery 29 shares Stefani’s words as to one tradition involving a very basic item of clothing that brought the album to the point of completion, even amid personal difficulties involving the ending of her 13-year marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.

“Lately, there’s a particular T-shirt that’s proven especially sentimental: She says it’s just a random, ‘nothing’ Urban Outfitters purchase ‘with holes in it,’ but Stefani wore it every day while writing her upcoming album. ‘I would be so sad if something happened to that shirt.'”

In earlier interviews about her album that is set to drop, the singer shared how the turmoil she has experienced over the past year resulted in raw and pertinent lyrics and meaningful songs, also noting how it was therapeutic for her to be in the studio daily.

In addition to all the other endeavors the “Hollaback” girl has on the go, the publication shares that Gwen is heavily involved in the specs business in connection with her L.A.M.B clothing line.

“Stefani’s duo of eyewear collections for her L.A.M.B. and GX by Gwen Stefanilines, which launched this week and are priced at $149 to $275. Her foray into frame design makes sense for the star, whose collection of sunglasses and eyeglasses is in the ballpark of 250 pairs.”

Stefani shared as to the inspiration she needed to result in an eyewear line she could be proud of.

“It’s really something I’ve wanted to do forever, and now it’s happening. I needed to be [working] with the right people to get the quality I wanted, who didn’t say no to what I wanted to do.”

Stefani’s signature style and impeccable taste in fashion certainly suggest that expanding her fashion line into the world of specs will only be a successful branch for the brand.

Stefani clearly has all bases covered despite her recent hardships. With a recurring role as co-judge and mentor on The Voice, a new album set to drop, a successful fashion line and lipstick line, and a blossoming romance with Blake Shelton, the mother of three has a pretty great thing going on. And if that’s not enough, there’s talk now that Gwen may be performing at this year’s Grammys.

Hollywood Life reports on the reasoning behind the prediction that Stefani is set to take the stage at the awards this year.

“Gwen Stefani, 46, made quite the comeback to music with her hit song, ‘Used To Love You,’ and she might be bringing her talent to the Grammy stage. The same day that the first slew of Grammy performers was announced, Gwen was pictured with several dancers at some sort of auditions, and the caption included the hashtag ‘#grammys.’ Could this mean we’ll be seeing Gwen perform on Feb. 15?!”
