The teams will meet on Friday in Rwanda, with the match starting at 3 p.m. local time (1 p.m. GMT).

There is a lot on the line for both teams. A win for the Golden Eagles of Nigeria would mean a berth into the next round, while Tunisia is looking for its first win in the tournament.

Fans who watch the Nigeria vs. Tunisia football match live online will see a Carthage Eagles team full of confidence. After fighting Guinea to a draw on Monday, the Tunisia squad is looking for their first win against the traditional powerhouse Super Eagles team.

Tunisia’s head coach, Hatem Missaoui, said his team is healthy after battling illness and injuries and looking to shut down the potent Nigerian attack.

“We are not looking forward to defending against a player in the Nigeria team, we have our tactics to stop the Super Eagles from scoring goals,” Missaoui said (via Goal.com).“What we are targeting is qualification to the next round of the competition and not just a victory against the Super Eagles.

“Nigeria have a good striker in [Chisom] Chikatara but we also have our own top scorer, Ahmed Akaichi, who scored the two goals against Guinea. He can get goals against the Super Eagles too.”

Missaoui said though Nigeria has a very strong team, his team is very ready to play them. He added that the Tunisia team is hoping to qualify for the next stage, and a win on Friday would be a huge step toward that.

But fans who watch the Nigeria vs. Tunisia football game live online will see a Nigerian team looking to make its own giant leap. A win for coach Sunday Oliseh and the team would put them through to the quarterfinals, and would come on the heels of a dominant 4-1 win over Niger on Monday.

Nigeria will also have a boost in the form of Chisom Chikatara, who battled illness in recent days but now has recovered and is expected to play on Friday.

“I’m in good shape now. The doctor has done a good job in helping me stop the diarrhea,” a blunt Chikatara told CompleteSportsNigeria.com. “I have fully recovered from the diarrhoea and fully focused on our next game against Tunisia.”

It was Chikatara who scored three goals against Niger, but his illness put his status for Friday’s game in serious doubt. But now a team official has said that Chikatara should be back in the starting lineup against Tunisia.

As Goal.com noted, the match looks to be a tight one.

“Kasperczak’s team boast of players from the top Tunisia clubs and the man to watch out for is Etoile du Sahel’s forward Ahmed Akaichi who scored a brace in their first game against Guinea.

“The Super Eagles must improve on their first half performance and be more clinical in front of goal. And they should be wary of the skillful north Africans whose strength is in their counter attacking play.

“Coach Sunday Oliseh will surely stick to his 4-3-3 formation with Chisom Chikatara, Usman Mohammed expected to get a starting shirt after pulling off an applauding performance against Niger.”
