Three-point specialist Steve Novak is returning to the New York Knicks after agreeing to a four-year deal with the organization worth $15 million, his agent Mark Bartlestein said Monday.

“So blessed to be able to play in The Garden for 4 more years!!!” the 29-year-old Tweeted after news of his deal with the Knicks went public.

Novak, who led the NBA in 3-point percentage (47.2%) during the 2011-2012 season, joined the Knicks last season after being waived from the San Antonio Spurs in December.

In addition to his league-leading percentage from behind the arc, the sharpshooting power forward averaged a career-high 8.8 points per game and became an integral part of the Knicks’ rotation by the end of the season.

Assuming he fulfills the length of his new contract, Novak will stick more than two years with the same team for the first time in his six-year career.

“This is where he wanted to be,” said Bartelstein. “He wanted to be back in New York.”

Besides San Antonio and New York, Novak has played for the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks and the LA Clippers.

According to ESPN, Novak will officially sign his contract with the Knicks on Wednesday, when the free agent moratorium is lifted.

As RantSports point outs, now that the Knicks have Novak’s contract settled, they can shift their attention toward matching Jeremy Lin’s four-year, $28.8 million offer sheet with the Houston Rockets and decide on how they’re going to acquire Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby — an outright signing or sign-and-trade.
