Rihanna Still Working On New ‘Anti’ Album? ‘BBHMM’ Singer Spotted In The Studio In Paris

Rihanna may be only one month away from kicking off the U.S. portion of her “Anti World Tour,” but it appears that the songstress is still putting the finishing touches on her eighth studio album.

Rihanna has been busy filming for her upcoming role in Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets while in Paris over the past week, but it looks like Rihanna is also keeping busy in the recording studio despite rumors suggesting that Anti is due for a release in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday, Rihanna’s best friend, Melissa Forde, seemingly teased that Rihanna is still in the process of finishing her upcoming album after sharing a photo of the songstress hanging with producer and songwriter Kuk Harrell in the recording studio.

While it’s unclear whether or not Rihanna was recording new music during her Paris studio session yesterday, Melissa Forde seemingly hinted that the visit was related to Rihanna’s upcoming album by writing “ANTI” across the bottom of the photo and adding a crown-emoji to the top of Rihanna’s head.

In another photo posted to Forde’s Instagram account, Melissa and Rihanna can be seen shielding themselves from the cold while paparazzi snap photos of the duo walking along the sidewalk in Paris.

“Ya’ll n***** better bundle up,” Forde captioned the photo before seemingly referencing the cover art for Rihanna’s upcoming album by adding a red balloon-emoji and crown-emoji to her caption.

Rihanna is reportedly still working on her upcoming "Anti" album.

It didn’t take long for fans to express their concerns over seeing Rihanna still in the studio recording studio, with one fan explaining, “awkward moment when she’s still recording and the tour is about to start without an album.”

Despite fans’ worries that Anti may not arrive prior to the beginning of Rihanna’s tour next month, one fan received some direct reassurance from the songstress regarding the new album’s delay.

“Yo Rih, is everything alright with Anti?! I’m stressed tf out Lol,” one fan asked Rihanna before receiving the response, “Don’t be! I can’t wait to see what y’all think.”

“So this just happened. My heart literally stopped for a few secs..,” the fan captioned a screenshot of their direct message response from Rihanna.

In addition, the fan alleges that Rihanna actually completed work on Anti during her studio session on Wednesday before noting that Rihanna has plans to work on a “promo shoot” on Thursday.

The news comes just days after Rihanna seemingly teased her upcoming involvement in this year’s Grammy Awards during a new promo commercial for CBS.

In the commercial, Rihanna stars alongside NFL sportscaster Jim Nantz and late-night television host Stephen Colbert to determine which major televised event will appear first on the CBS network.

Colbert, who is promoting a special edition of his The Late Show With Stephen Colbert following the conclusion of Super Bowl 50, conducts a coin toss for Rihanna and Nantz to determine whether the Super Bowl or the 58th Annual Grammy Awards will appear first on the network, Us Weekly reports.

“We go first,” Nantz reveals of Super Bowl 50 before Rihanna responds, “I’m worth the wait.”

Super Bowl 50 airs Sunday, February 7 followed by a live taping of The Late Show while the Grammy Awards will air one week later on Monday, February 15.

Rihanna’s involvement in the promo instantly ignited rumors that the songstress would be either releasing or debuting an official release date for Anti, however, with Rihanna’s recent appearance in the recording studio, it looks like we may be looking at a surprise performance from the songstress instead.
