Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian were married for four years, and during their relationship, which ended in mid-2013, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star considering adopting or fostering a child with the former pro athlete. During the debut episode of her new talk show on FYI, Kocktails With Khloe, via Hollywood Life on January 20, Kardashian opened up about her desire to start a family with Lamar Odom, and her sister, Kendall, added that she was great with kids.

During their marriage, rumors continuously swirled regarding Lamar Odom’s plans for children, but despite the many rumors about a potential Kardashian pregnancy, the couple never welcomed any children together, and even after their split, neither party has added to their family. That said, Lamar Odom already has two children from his previous relationship with Liza Morales, son Lamar Odom Jr., and daughter Destiny Odom. He also had a third child, son Jayden, but sadly, the child died at just 6-months-old.
In 2013, as Lamar Odom’s marriage to Kardashian came to an abrupt end amid rumors of multiple affairs and drug use, Kardashian filed for divorce, but after her former partner’s hospitalization at the end of last year, the divorce was thrown out. While many took the news of their petition to end their divorce as a sign of reconciliation, however, the two have no plans to get back together, and Kardashian only made the decision so that she would be able to support Lamar Odom’s medical care when he was unable. Now, with Lamar Odom out of the hospital, their split is expected to move forward.
On January 20, a source explained the following to Hollywood Life in regard to Lamar Odom’s impending divorce.
“Khloe has had enough of being embarrassed by [Lamar Odom] and she wants to gracefully back out of their marriage. [She] has her new show to worry about and is focusing on her exit strategy so she can put her time into her show succeeding. She has decided not to film [Lamar Odom]’s recovery, for now, and really just wants him out of her life.”
“Khloe does not want to be stuck with [Lamar Odom],” the source continued. “As soon as he can take care of himself, which she hopes will be very soon, he will be out of her life for good.”
Meanwhile, Kardashian has been dating another athlete, Houston Rockets star James Harden. However, as Perez Hilton pointed out recently, she has hinted at possible trouble in paradise on Instagram. In addition to the pair having not been spotted together in public for some time now, the outlet suspected a recent meme may have been aimed at their relationship.
In Lamar Odom’s soon-to-be ex-wife’s cryptic post, she spoke of a broken person, whom she was likely better off without.

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier this week, via People Magazine, Kardashian offered the latest update on Lamar Odom, claiming it is a miracle that he survived his October, 2015, drug overdose.
“He’s walking and talking … it’s literally a miracle,” Kardashian told host Andy Cohen. “This person was in a coma, I was told he had four hours to live. … [Lamar Odom] could not speak or walk up until three weeks ago. He’s fighting for his life and I really pray that this is a wakeup call for him. Everyone loves a good comeback story.”
