Kevin Love is growing impatient with the Timberwolves. The forward-center said he’d like to stay in Minnesota, but he wants to play for a winning team.

The Timberwolves have gone 82-230 in the four seasons Kevin Love has been with the team, and went 26-40 in the 2011-12 season. Love did well, however, averaging 26 points and 13.3 rebounds.

The 23-year-old is currently in Las Vegas training with Team USA, and part of his frustration with the Timberwolves may be because of his teammates. Love told Yahoo’s Marc Spears,

“It’s tough seeing all these guys that are young and older who have all played in the playoffs. When they start talking about that, I have nothing to talk about. If I don’t make the playoffs next year I don’t know what will happen.”

The Timberwolves haven’t been to the playoffs since the 2003-04, when they lost to the Lakers in the conference finals. The only other player on Team USA whose team didn’t make it to the playoffs last season was Deron Williams, who just signed a five-year, $100 million contract extension with the newly formed Brooklyn Nets.

Love went on to say, “If we don’t make the playoffs, I don’t know it’s going to be me or something, but our management needs to step up and make some moves.”

Although he wanted to commit to the team for five years, Kevin Love signed a four-year, $62 million contract extension with the team in January, but with a player’s option that would allow him to opt out after three years.
