Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Have Already Reached A Divorce Settlement

That didn’t take long. Just two weeks after Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise the couple have reached a divorce settlement.

Nanci Ryder and Amanda Lundberg released a joint statement from their clients:

“We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”

While specific details have not been released at this time it is believed that Suri will live in New York City with her mother but Tom Cruise will be given “generous” visitation rights with six-year-old Suri Cruise.

Some Hollywood insiders believed the divorce process would get ugly after Katie Holmes specifically filed for divorce in New York City where the mother is typically favored for full-custody. Sources close to the couple say Tom Cruise was completely blindsided by news of the divorce in late June.

Immediately after filing Katie Holmes took Suri Cruise to New York City where they moved into the 3-bedroom apartment Tom Cruise had signed over to Katie Holmes over one year ago.

Cruise in the meantime has remained in Los Angeles and in the Rockies where he is filming his next movie.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise agreed to a prenuptial agreement before they wed and sources close to Katie Holmes have repeatedly said she won’t fight the prenuptial because she has plenty of her own money and lots of job prospects.
