Fake Nurse Who Tended To Bobbi Kristina Brown Detained In Gwinnett County Jail

The nurse who took care of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown now faces multiple criminal charges after it was found out that the she was not a registered medical professional.

Taiwo Sobamowo, 32, has been charged with four counts of practicing nursing without a license, financial identity fraud, and possessing fake identification documents, as confirmed by the sheriff’s department to The Wrap. Sobamowo is reportedly being detained at the Gwinnett County jail in Lawrence, Georgia, and she remains in custody.

Sobamowo, who was in charge of taking care of then-22-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, was arrested by authorities in November. She was employed by the Georgia-based hospice facility for a short period of time after providing fake documents to get a job at the center.

She was fired on August 5 after being unable to prove her credentials.

The woman had reportedly faced similar accusations before. Washington, D.C. officials previously released a “nurse impostor warning” for the fake nurse. Sobamowo allegedly turned in fabricated documents with fake credentials for the purposes of gaining employment. She had been forbidden from working in hospitals in D.C.

Her fraudulent activity was discovered when Forsyth authorities was alerted that the nurse was fake.

“She presented credentials under a different name, claiming she was a registered nurse,” stated Duluth police spokesperson Maj. Don Woodruff. Once the legal process in Duluth is done, Sobamowo will have to face pending charges in Roswell.

The 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston was found unresponsive and face down in her bathtub on January 31, 2015. She was put into a medically induced coma but passed away on July 26, 2015, six months after the awful incident.

According to the Associated Press, a Duluth police report showed no signs that Sobamowo affected the treatment of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney Houston, who died at the age of 48, was also found unconscious in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on February 2012, just before the Grammy Awards. Police ruled accidental drowning as the music icon’s official cause of death. Heart disease and use of cocaine were also believed to have played a key role in her passing.

The untimely death of Houston’s daughter had been very controversial as well.

The tragic demise of Bobbi Kristina Brown was also linked to drug abuse and possible domestic violence. Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was accused of injecting her with a fatal “toxic mixture” of drugs before her hospitalization, recent court findings said.

The lawsuit also alleged that Gordon had had a physical altercation with Bobbi Kristina Brown before he put her in a bathtub. The aspiring singer’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, claimed that Brown was “battered and bruised” by her 20-year-old boyfriend.

Danyela Da Silva Bradley, a friend of the victim’s, attested to Gordon’s abuse, saying: “He began kicking Bobbi Kristina in the side to the point that she was on the floor screaming and curled up in a fetal position.”

“He returned from being out all night on a cocaine and drinking binge (and then) reviewed camera footage of Bobbi Kristina and listened to her conversations. [He then changed clothes] and got in bed and laid his hand on female guest’s ankle and stated, ‘Now I want a pretty little white girl like you,'” Bradley said in a recent court documents.

Gordon checked into rehab for a short time after a TV intervention with Dr. Phil and his mother, Michelle Gordon, in March last year. In December 2015, Gordon tweeted a bizarre Photoshopped Christmas Card with Bobbi Kristina Brown.
