Tracy Morgan Tells Jimmy Fallon He Wants To ‘Go Back In A Coma’ Because Of Donald Trump

Tracy Morgan and Jimmy Fallon sure had a ball last night on The Tonight Show. Rolling Stone reports that Tracy got to talk about everything he missed while in the coma, like Star Wars and Donald Trump.

“Things are different,” Tracy blurted out. “Donald Trump is leading in the polls, I’m going back,” he said, while slumping down in his chair.

When asked about Star Wars, Morgan angrily said “Hold up, one black dude in the whole galaxy? I’m pissed off man!”

It all snowballed from there. Tracy started hitting on a variety of topics like Chewbacca and The Godfather.“Let me tell you something, Sonny would’ve lived if they had E-ZPass,” he quipped.

It’s definitely nice to see Tracy Morgan back to normal. For a while, things weren’t certain whether the famous comedian would be himself again.

The New York Times reports he got to talk about his recovery on the show as well, stating “I remember I was in that wheelchair, and she was 14 months and I had seen her take her first steps. And it inspired me to get out of the wheelchair and take my first steps.”

Hilariously enough, Tracy Morgan and Jimmy Fallon played a game called “Pup Quiz,” which pits two contestants against one another to see who ends up with more puppies than the other. To get more puppies, a contestant has to answer a question correctly.

Tracy began the night on the right foot by correctly guessing the longest species of snake in the world, which is a Reticulated Python, in case you were wondering.

Before long, Tracy had four puppies in his lap after just three rounds of the show, thanks to a little segment called “Double Puppardy.”

“I just need a pocket full of kibbles and bits,” Morgan said.

In other news, Tracy Morgan is making a comeback to television with Jordan Peele. EW had more details on the pitch, which centers around “A career criminal (Morgan) who is released from prison after 15 long years, hoping to reintegrate into a society that long ago left him behind. Now a man whose only expertise is making grilled cheese with an iron must navigate a modern world of political correctness, Internet, and self-driving cars.”

The show oddly parallels Morgan’s life in a way, as Tracy was in a coma for a period of time and missed a few things before rehabilitating himself.

Jordan Peele is more commonly known for his show Key and Peele. Nick Grad, FX original programing president, said “What an unbeatable combination – Tracy Morgan and Jordan Peele – two exceptional comics joining forces with a great team of writers and producers to create and produce this pilot for FX Networks.”

“We’ve been committed to Tracy from the start and are thrilled that Jordan, John, Eric and Joel are joining him in developing this new project.”

There’s no current release date for the pilot, but stay tuned for any news about it in the coming weeks and months. Tracy Morgan seems like he’s doing just fine, in fact, a few months ago he made a surprise appearance at the Emmy’s.

“I miss you guys so much,” he addressed the audience at the show. “Last year, Jimmy Kimmel stood on this stage and said, ‘We’ll see you back here next year, Tracy Morgan.’ Well, Jimmy, thanks to my amazing doctors and the support of my family and my beautiful new wife, I’m here.”

Great job, Tracy, we’re all pulling for you.
