George Zimmerman Receiving Protection From Private Security Team

George Zimmerman was recently released from jail on $1 million bond and now he is being held in a different kind of “prison” as he remain under 24 hour protection in a “safe house” which is monitored by a private security team at all hours of the day and night.

Zimmerman was released on Friday immediately after posting bail for the second time since being charged with second-degree murder.

According to George Zimmerman’s attorney he is currently residing in Seminole County in central Florida.

The need for a security team became more apparent after Zimmerman began receiving multiple death threats from various supporters of Trayvon Martin. While death threats existed before his arrested they became more pronounced after the first time Zimmerman posted bail.

Zimmerman was released from jail a second time after his defense fund which has relied largely on internet donations posted 10% of his $1 million bond.

George Zimmerman was released from prison after originally posting a $150,000 bond but was sent back to jail after attorney’s from the prosecution found evidence that Zimmerman and his wife were hiding more than $100,000 in funds. Prosecutors argued that George Zimmerman could have used that money to flee the country.

It is still unclear how George Zimmerman is paying for his private security detail, his lawyers were forced to publicly beg for help online just to free Zimmerman while raising $1 million in collateral along with $100,000 in cold hard cash.

Do you think internet supporters should keep giving George Zimmerman money as he continually puts his hands out for help in the Trayvon Martin case?
