Kenya Moore And Kandi Burruss React To NeNe Leakes’ ‘RHOA’ Return

It’s no secret that Kenya Moore and Kandi Burruss didn’t get along with their The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes last season. So how did they react to NeNe’s return to the show? As the latest episode aired on Sunday night, both Kenya and Kandi shared their thoughts on NeNe’s arrival on social media.

Kenya and NeNe have feuded with one another ever since Kenya joined the show during its fifth season. Despite Kenya attempting to find common ground with NeNe after NeNe broke down on the Season 7 reunion show by pointing out that they both have fractured relationships with their moms, NeNe still refused to believe that Kenya was being sincere with her.

Kenya anticipated that with NeNe’s return comes a lot of negativity towards her way. Kenya tweeted that people can expect “anti Kenya f**kery.”

Kenya then posted a tweet in which she called into question NeNe’s renewed friendship with Cynthia. Kenya doesn’t seem to believe that NeNe’s fixed friendship with Cynthia Bailey is real.

Earlier in the night, Kenya pointed out that NeNe also blocked her on Twitter.

NeNe Leakes’ first scene this season showed her and Gregg Leakes going to Cynthia Bailey’s house to catch up with her and Peter Thomas. NeNe and Cynthia used to be very good friends for years, but they had a falling out while filming the Season 6 reunion show due to NeNe feeling as if Cynthia was just using her for a storyline. Their friendship remained broken on the seventh season. Yet the two have now forgiven one another and made up. During their reunion scene, Cynthia told NeNe to unblock her on Twitter. NeNe laughed and said that she’ll do that. In her interview, NeNe explained that she blocked Cynthia because she was trying to focus only on herself.

A preview for the rest of Season 8 shows that the renewed friendship between Cynthia and NeNe isn’t without complications. In one scene, co-star Phaedra Parks tells NeNe that Cynthia and Kenya Moore are now “besties.” Faced with NeNe’s clear disapproval, Cynthia quickly says that she and Kenya are still getting to know one another and that she doesn’t just wake up and become best friends with someone. The preview then shows Kenya confronting Cynthia about diminishing their friendship and Kenya telling a love interest that while she tries to build Cynthia up, NeNe tries to tear her down.

Yet it seems that Kenya and Cynthia are still friends despite what happened during filming. As the episode aired, Kenya tweeted that she appreciates Cynthia understanding how she feels and getting angry for her in regards to her drama with her estranged mother.

Cynthia replied that she’s there for Kenya and always will be.

Cynthia Bailey also tweeted that she always had love in her heart for NeNe.

While Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes still seem to be feuding, Kandi Burruss’ relationship with NeNe seems to have gotten better. The relationship is at least good enough for the two women to joke with one another. Prior to the episode airing, Kandi confessed that she actually found NeNe’s imitation of her “hilarious.” In her interview, NeNe imitated Kandi making a sour face upon learning of her return.

Kandi later posted a snapshot of a scene in which she rolled her eyes while listening to NeNe and said that particular facial expression was what NeNe was probably referring to in her interview. As previously reported by the TheInquisitr, Kandi feuded with NeNe during the airing of season 7 due to Kandi believing that NeNe was better than everyone else and NeNe believing that Kandi was just jealous.

NeNe shared the same photo with her followers. NeNe poked fun at how sick Kandi is of her.

Yet despite what Kandi Burruss might think, NeNe Leakes still thinks that she’s the “queen” of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. After the episode aired, NeNe posted a photo of herself in which she captioned it “#QUEEN” and “#OG.”
