Lamar Odom Update: Walking After Drug Overdose, Will Appear On ‘KUWKT’ Season 11?

How is Lamar Odom doing over three months after he suffered a drug overdose while partying at a legal brothel in Pahrump, Nevada? On January 16, ahead of tonight’s new episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Lamar Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, offered an update while chatting with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on their morning talk show, Live! with Kelly & Michael, via Us Weekly.

According to Kardashian, Lamar Odom had a rough road, but is currently doing “great” just days after he left the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California, and began treatment at a private rehabilitation center nearby her home in Calabasas, California.

“It’s such a relief,” Kardashian told the co-hosts of Lamar Odom. “It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”

When Lamar Odom was taken to the hospital after being found unconscious on October 13, Kardashian and her family, as well as his two children, rushed to his side, but sadly, he was in a coma and not initially expected to wake up. Luckily, he has defied the odds with his ongoing recovery.

“We were able to leave the hospital — [Lamar Odom] was able to walk out of the hospital,” she said. “And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”

According to Us Weekly magazine, Lamar Odom’s wife also appeared on The Howard Stern Show recently, where she openly discussed his “disgusting” cheating habits during their four-year marriage.

“[Lamar Odom] was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I was this princess, so I never speculated about his cheating,” Kardashian said of Lamar Odom last Wednesday, January 13. “[Lamar Odom] was so good. Nothing was on his cellphones.”

Kardashian went on to allege Lamar Odom had been using his assistant’s cell phone to cheat on her during their marriage.

Lamar Odom and Kardashian tied the knot in September 2009, just 30 days after the former pair was introduced to one another at a party thrown by Lamar Odom’s then-teammate, Ron Artest. Both before and after they were married, Lamar Odom and Kardashian exposed their relationship on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and once they wed, they appeared in their own E! Network spinoff, Khloe & Lamar, which aired for two seasons.

After walking away from reality television in 2012, Lamar Odom and Kardashian enjoyed a few moments of marital bliss until news of his alleged drug use and multiple affairs hit the web in 2013. At the time, Kardashian and Lamar Odom put on a united front, but after attempting to reconcile, Kardashian ultimately filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in December 2013.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on the E! Network. So far throughout season 11, Lamar Odom has not been seen, and it has yet to be confirmed whether or not his drug overdose will be discussed during upcoming episodes.
