Burger King beats Quizno’s in grossest ad insinuation involving a sandwich

bk-bj

Well, perhaps it’s a tie.

First we had an anthromorphic oven begging a Quizno’s employee named Scott to “put it in me.” Now Burger King has joined the sandwiches equal sex brigade with a series of ads featuring the most obvious BJ metaphor I’ve ever seen in fast food. Forgetting the fact that Quizno’s sandwiches taste like toasted vomit, this is just gross.

Still not seeing it? Check out the copy. >shudder<

Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste the mind-blowing burger that comes with a single beef patty, topped with American cheese, crispy onions and the A1 Thick and Hearty Steak Sauce.

I have to hand it to you- with your new ad, you’ve managed to put this rare meat eating hussy off sex and burgers. Well played, Burger King, well played.

[Thanks, Gawker]

Although this ad is quite distasteful, the person writing this article is not right about everything. I love Quizno's! I am completely dumbfounded that someone could be foolish enough to write, “that Quizno’s sandwiches taste like toasted vomit”. This person obviously has never eaten at Quizno’s. Their sandwiches are divine.

Quizno's just started airing a revised version of the spot where the voice says something like “I'm ready for it” instead of the more precise “put it in me.”

  3. Gross?

I think you're misunderstand the definition. The thesaurus lists synonyms of “awesome” as “great, astonishing, wonderful, wondrous”.
