Taylor Swift Finds Out Who Her Friends Are

Taylor Swift is loved by everyone, especially her friends, Selena Gomez among them. Which raises the question, what was Gomez doing hanging out with Katy Perry at the Golden Globes after-party on January 10? Hollywood Life reports that Gomez chatted with Brad Pitt at the party, but then later was also getting chummy with Perry, despite knowing BFF Taylor Swift isn’t a fan. Both ladies posed for a photo with Mr. Pitt.

Admittedly, Gomez once stated that no matter what she will always love Perry, even though she also loves Swift.

Adele has also expressed her love of Taylor Swift. The Belfast Telegraph reports that Adele has spoken about Swift and her squad, and their “Amazonian” legs.

“They’re Amazonian. They’re all so tall. They’d just kick us with their long legs!”

Apparently, James Corden had suggested Adele form her own squad.

“If you put together a squad that was you, Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, and she’d bring Amy Schumer, Emma Stone. Taylor Swift’s squad would f**k themselves.”

That would be a pretty amazing squad of ladies. They could definitely rival anyone!

Of course, fans love Taylor Swift, too, so much so that some are willing to crash a dinner date. People reports that on Tuesday evening, while Swift was dining with her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, at the Giorgio Baldi Italian restaurant, a young boy crashed their date. The boy had a photo taken of him sitting at the table, which he captioned with some humor.

“Awesome dinner with mom and dad.”

Humor seems to be following Taylor Swift lately, as a funny new meme has gone viral. Seventeen reports that there is a meme linking Swift’s song “Shake It Off” and the very first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. A passage fairly early in the book, when the Dursleys are trying to get away from the owls delivering mail to Harry, features Uncle Vernon saying, “Shake ’em off… shake ’em off.” The meme is truly hilarious.

“They drove. And they drove. Even Aunt Petunia didn’t dare ask where they were going. Every now and then Uncle Vernon would take a sharp turn and drive in the opposite direction for a while. ‘Shake ’em off… shake ’em off,’ he would mutter whenever he did this.”

Taylor Swift is even a part of the Annie Leibovitz photography exhibition that just opened in London. Entertainment reports that this is the beginning of a world tour that will take it around the world through cities such as Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, Mexico, Istanbul, Frankfurt, and Zurich. Taylow Swift’s photo is one of mystic beauty.

With fans crashing her dinner dates, memes about her music going viral, and her photograph touring the world, it might not come as a surprise that Forbes reports Taylor Swift is the most marketable artist in the music industry. Repucom, a media company based in London, released a report in which they assessed the opinions of millennials and younger music fans, and gave each celebrity a score based on their findings.

Taylor Swift scored the highest at 88.5, with Justin Timberlake coming in second at 86.4. They were followed by Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, tied at 85.1, and Beyoncé, at 84.6. These results make these stars valuable in terms of brand marketing, and four of the top five most recognized brands at live music events are all beverages, including Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Pepsi, and Heineken. Taylor Swift has promoted Diet Coke in the past.

There is no doubt Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with. It will be exciting to see what she will bring to the world in 2016.
