Cards Against Humanity’s Max Temkin Sent 55 Gallons Of Lube To Ammon Bundy’s Oregon Militia

Cards Against Humanity creator Max Temkin has taken his joking to yet another new level of insanity. Both the card game and Temkin are not exactly known for being politically correct, or sensitive, but in response to pleas for gifts for Ammon Bundy’s Oregon militia, Temkin sent out 55 gallons of lube. Yes, that’s right, the Oregon standoff now has a mountain of personal lubricant at its disposal to help settle the rough situation they’re in with the federal government.

How did this Cards Against Humanity gag start in the first place? As If You Only News reports the situation, “it looks like the low budget, revolutionary nitwits of Broke-A*s Mountain are a little butt hurt this week because citizens were sending them boxes of sex toys instead of the much needed French vanilla creamer they requested to sustain their rebellion.” Bundy’s Oregon militia initially told the media they had enough food and supplies to carry on the Oregon standoff for years, but then they publicly announced they would be willing to accept gifts and donations.

In response, the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom received many gifts of odd shapes and sizes, including sex toys, penis-shaped candles, pedicure socks, perfume, glitter, and nail polish. After taking over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge on January 2, 2016, the Oregon militia was hoping to receive snacks, fuel, and warm clothes, but instead they received many a practical joke at their expense.

“It was really mind-blowing to me that people would actually spend their money… on all this hateful stuff to send out to us,” said Citizens for Constitutional Freedom supporter Jon Ritzheimer, according to Reuters. “It’s really ridiculous. We’re going to continue to do work and do good for our country. We’re not going to be deterred.”

Some on social media have made fun of Ammon Bundy’s militia by referring to them as #YallQaeda or #VanillaISIS on Twitter. Many in the media have also mocked the Oregon standoff, including Gawker, as mentioned in this Facebook post.

“I am loving the care packages that these morons are receiving. The Gawker care package was harmless albeit slightly offensive to the militia’s sensibilities,” wrote Johhny Gimberlein on Facebook. “But the sheer amount of dildos that are being sent to these idiots, who are ridiculously masquerading around as patriots, is hysterical. I think the Pentagon should augment its strategy against ISIS… drones of lube and dildos!!”

Others on social media have defended the Oregon militia group against their critics.

“Militia taking over random buildings to take a stand is fine,” wrote West Winds Jez on Facebook. “Let’s face it, half the world’s governing bodies probably started that way. And if you have an issue with it, you too should take a stand. Send your foes lube. Lots of lube.”

So why did Cards Against Humanity’s Max Temkin send them personal lubricant?

Temkin never goes on to explain the exact motivation for the gag gift, but although spending over $1,000 on lube may sound like a lot of money, it’s actually very cheap and effective marketing. After all, if you have never heard about the game Cards Against Humanity, you certainly have now.
