Liam Payne Teases New Song About A Threesome, Says Zayn Malik Can Rejoin One Direction, While Setting Up Potential Rivalry

Liam Payne recently revealed that he’s working on a naughty new song that might be about having a threesome. The singer obviously wants One Direction fans to be excited about his sexy solo project, not dismayed by it, so this is why it’s a good thing that Liam teased his new tune the day after he reassured Directioners that their beloved boy band still plans on reuniting someday. One Direction fans just might have to wash their ears out with soap after listening to Liam’s dirty lyrics.

Earlier today, Liam Payne took to Instagram to share a 15-second teaser of a song that he’s been working on. According to Billboard, it may be the result of Liam’s recent collaboration with Juicy J and producer TM 88 of 808 Mafia. TMZ reports that the group recorded five tracks at a studio in Los Angeles last weekend, and sources said that Liam Payne does some “incredible” rapping in a few of his solo songs. His Instagram video below is evidence that what he’s working on has an R&B vibe that is nothing like One Direction’s pop rock sound.

“Little Song I wrote for fun yesterday,” Liam captioned the video.

Some One Direction fans on Twitter have deduced that Liam Payne’s song snippet is part of a naughty tune about having a threesome, and they’ve managed to decipher the lyrics.

“Loving the way that she’s turning you on / Switching the lanes like a Bugatti Sport / Nothing but luck ’cause she got me involved / Yeah.”

Fans likely think that the song is about a threesome because the first line could be aimed at one of the singer’s two female partners, and the second one might be about switching partners.

Entertainment Weekly is already comparing Liam Payne to Drake and pointing out that his new buzz cut hairstyle might be inspired by post-‘NSYNC Justin Timberlake (he’s bringing 2012 Liam back).

Unlike Justin Timberlake, Liam Payne isn’t planning on going solo for good. According to Gossip Cop, the paparazzi recently pestered Liam Payne about the future of One Direction after spotting the singer at LAX. When he was asked about the rumors that One Direction has decided to split for good, Liam revealed that this is not true.

“No, no, no, no,” Liam said. “We just got nominated for two Brits.”

Liam Payne also didn’t shy away from questions about Zayn Malik.

“Who knows?” Liam said when he was asked if there’s any chance that Zayn might reunite with One Direction in the future. “He’s just doing his own thing.”

Payne revealed that One Direction would welcome Malik back if the aspiring solo star decided that he wanted to rejoin the band.

“Of course! I love Zayn. He’s great,” Liam said.

Liam Payne also revealed that he’s spoken to Zayn Malik, even though his old bandmate recently claimed that the four remaining members of One Direction quit speaking to him after he left the group. However, Liam did admit that he missed Zayn’s birthday.

“I had every intention of remaining friends with everybody, but I guess certain phone numbers have changed and I haven’t received calls from a lot of people,” Zayn recently told Billboard. “I’ve reached out to a few of them and not got a reply. Certain people have pride issues, but it’s stuff you overcome in time.”

Zayn Malik is set to release his debut LP early this year, and he’s spent a lot of time talking about how much his new R&B sound differs from that of One Direction. Because of this, Zayn says that there’s no musical rivalry between himself and his old bandmates.

“There are no sides to pick,” Zayn said. “We’re not going head-to-head.”

However, Zayn might change his tune after hearing Liam Payne’s song snippet. Liam reportedly has no plans to release a solo album in the near future, but it’s obvious that he’s cooking up something – he’s not going to waste Juicy J and TM 88’s time by recording songs for the fun of it. Liam’s new R&B sound is more similar to Zayn’s solo work than One Direction’s music, so he’d be competing in the same market as his old bandmate if he were to release a solo album.

What do you think of Liam Payne’s new sound? If he does release a solo album, do you think he’d be a bigger R&B star than Zayn Malik?
