Street Fighter X Tekken Getting 12 Additional Fighters This Month

We’ve known about the 12 additional Street Fighter X Tekken characters that are on the disc since the game first came out, and now we know when they will finally be unlocked.

Capcom today announced that the 12 additional DLC characters from Street Fighter and Tekken will be released on July 31 on the PlayStation 3 for $19.99, and on the same date on Xbox 360 for 1600 Microsoft Points. A PC release will follow at a later date.

In case you’ve forgotten which characters will be unlocked, on the Street Fighter side we have Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, and Sakura; for the Tekken side, the DLC unlocks Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack-X, Lars Alexandersson, and Lei Wulong.

On the same day, Capcom will also be releasing a balance patch that aims to address a number of balance issues, including:

– Ryu, Ken and Akuma’s Tatsumaki Sempuu kyaku have all had their hitboxes reduced in size
– Rolento’s jabs addressed!
– Xiaoyu’s crouching hard kick phoenix loops
– Raven crouching HP loops
– Auto-block gem has been re-balanced

The PlayStation Vita version, which is due out later this year, will come with two redeemable codes that unlock the 12 extra characters, as well as alternate costumes for the first 38 characters, at no extra charge. The DLC can be shared between Vita and PlayStation 3 as well.
