Jimmy Fallon Seen Out And About After NBC Exec Denies An Alleged Drinking Problem

Jimmy Fallon, who’s been making headlines as The Tonight Show host, was recently seen out and about. This usually wouldn’t make the news, but for the last few months, gossip has been going around that Jimmy Fallon allegedly has a drinking problem.

The rumors started after Fallon suffered a few injuries which seemingly happened because of his own klutziness, but sources have stood by claims that there’s more than what meets the eye to Fallon being injury prone.

Here are a few of the photos that were snapped of Jimmy Fallon out and about.

While The Daily Mail claims that he looks “serious,” it seems like Fallon was just captured in a candid moment.

As the Inquisitr reported, an NBC executive cooled down the rumors that Jimmy Fallon has a drinking problem, and that NBC was worried about Fallon’s health and their Tonight Show property, as rumored. The chairman of entertainment, Bob Greenblatt denied allegations that Fallon has a drinking problem.

“[Jimmy] doesn’t have a drinking problem that any of us know about. He goes out and has fun and he’s had some accidents.”

What are these accidents? Well, to round it up, Fallon had to be rushed to the hospital due to a ring avulsion. The host nearly lost his finger due to him slipping at his home. His ring finger got caught on a cabinet and he was down for the count. Fallon explained the situation to the studio audience, because he was in the ICU for a while and had to take a hiatus from hosting The Tonight Show while he recovered. He showed up his first day back with his hand bandaged up as he recounted the story.

Many reports had Fallon drinking at a restaurant hours before his accident.

Then, Fallon fell at a Harvard Lampoon event in October of 2015. Fallon was being honored, and was said to have fallen with a bottle of Jagermeister in his hand, which he threw before he landed on his hand. Fallon explained the incident on The Tonight Show, getting ahead of the gossip.

“I threw the bottle and then I landed on broken glass. There [were] pools of blood everywhere.”

It’s also alleged that the host got into a 2014 brawl at an East Village bar; and, in January 2015, Fallon was captured looking inebriated while belting out the tune of Katy Perry’s “Walking On Air.”

As the Inquisitr reported, there’s such a buzz about Jimmy Fallon, and his “numbered days” that Chelsea Handler was said to be eyeing his seat. A source at the time made the following comment.

“She’s convinced it’s only a matter of time before the network starts preparing for a back-up plan should Jimmy fail to rein in his boozing.”

All of this considered, Greenblatt said that Jimmy will be fine and that the reports have been exaggerated. “Jimmy is going to be fine for many years to come. I often say Jimmy is going to be there longer than me and longer than many of you in your jobs.”

“We are always worried about his safety and health and yeah, there’s been conversations about that, [but] the stories are exaggerated about all of it.”

The fact that Jimmy goes out and has fun isn’t a surprise, but “insiders” have said that it’s more than that and Fallon is “a mess.” According to New York Post, who spoke to a Manhattan bartender who has served the host for years, “Everything you’ve heard [about his behavior] is true.”

What do you think about the recent comments made by Bob Greenblatt? Is this a way of NBC covering their tracks?
