Pot Smoking Mailman Burned Mail he was Too Stoned to Deliver

A mailman in the U.K. has been charged by police after it was discovered he wasn’t delivering the mail he had agreed to deliver, because he was too stoned.

Neil Goddard of York in the U.K. told police he was so lazy after smoking the Marijuauna he was growing at his house. The 32 year old postal carrier had agreed to deliver junk mail for extra pay, but ended up not being able to make the deliveries because he was so lazy from smoking pot. To get rid of the mail, he burned about 1000 pieces of it.

Goddard said the mail burning happened when he was smoking the pot heavily in order to deal with his mothers death. He had over $13,000 worth of Marijuana growing at his house when police investigated.

He has been charged with and pled guilty to not delivering mail he was paid to deliver, burning mail and growing marijuana with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison
