Jimmy Fallon And Billy Joel Can’t Get Enough Of Each Other

Jimmy Fallon usually brings his guests to his stage on The Tonight Show, but seldom is the offer to appear on his guest’s stage given in return. Entertainment Weekly reports that Billy Joel appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, and it was an evening of music. During the commercial break prior to the show they also performed “For the Longest Time” with the help J.K. Simmons, who was also a guest that night.

After the performance, Jimmy Fallon was stoked.

“Come on! That’s the way to do it.”

Then during the show, Joel and Fallon performed the Rolling Stones’ famous song “Beast of Burden.”

But before Jimmy Fallon and Joel even got to the piano, they did a sweet little doo-wop number using an iPad app. It was amazing!

Joel also invited Jimmy Fallon to join him on his stage at Madison Square Garden, so on Thursday night, that’s what Fallon did.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Billy Joel was true to his word and Jimmy Fallon joined him onstage Thursday to sing a number of songs, including “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” “Sherry,” and “Unchained Melody.”

Fallon also wore a New York Rangers jersey while he belted out “Start Me Up.”

Apparently, Jimmy Fallon has been performing Billy Joel for quite some time. Consequence of Sound reported last year that he was caught on camera singing “Piano Man” in a bar with a bunch of the other patrons.

He also got his “Greatest American Hero” on.

There is no doubt that Jimmy Fallon is a performer at heart. Backstage reports that even though people know him these days as the host of The Tonight Show, it was Saturday Night Live where he got his big break. Jimmy Fallon is also always coming up with new ideas to entertain and delight his audience and fans. Fox News reports that on Thursday night, Fallon had fans tweet their most embarrassing dating stories, and there were some whoppers.

It seems that on Thursday night, Jimmy Fallon wasn’t just aiming to embarrass his fans with their horrible dating stories. According to Daily Mail, he also had Mark Ruffalo as a guest and he had a fine time bringing back Ruffalo’s embarrassing Clearasil commercial from 1989. Ruffalo said that after he was hired for the commercial, the director said he liked what Ruffalo did in his audition.

“I really really liked what you did, because you seemed like you came right off the street, like you don’t know how to act at all.”

Jimmy Fallon showed the commercial, saying it was something his kids could watch, after Ruffalo told him his kids didn’t want to watch him play someone else’s father or husband in his movies.

“[They said,] ‘We don’t want to see you playing anyone else’s father and we don’t want to see you playing anyone else’s husband.'”

While Ruffalo was on The Tonight Show, they also spoke about how when Ruffalo went to the Academy Awards last year, he was only there for 15 minutes.

They also joked about Ruffalo playing the next James Bond, but Ruffalo was more into playing in the band.

It seems that 2016 is off to a great start with The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon’s antics!
