Rise Of The Guardians – A New Trailer Emerges [Video]

On November 21, 2012 a group of mystical fairy-tale characters will come to life on the big screen in an attempt to save the world’s children from the boogieman and his campaign of fear. That’s the official release date for Rise of the Guardians, a Benicio Del Toro produced animated flick about the extraordinary powers we didn’t know some fairy-tale creatures possess.

Dreamworks Animation spent $145 million to produce the movie which features the voice talent of Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, and Isla Fisher.

The movie which is based on Williams Joyce’s series of children’s book is co-directed by Peter Ramsey and Joyce.

Here is the movies full synopsis:

Rise of the Guardians is an epic and magical adventure that tells the story of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – legendary characters with previously unknown extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children everywhere.

The movie comes to us from the creators of “How To Train A Dragon” and after watching the trailer I can see where it draws its heroic inspiration but the rest of the film appears slightly more dark with a lot less “child friendly” humor thrown into the mix.

Will you be running out to see Rise of the Guardians when it hits theaters in late November or is this a DVD rental?
