Does Katy Perry Ban Her Staff From Attending Taylor Swift Concerts?

There have been rumors going around for awhile that Taylor Swift isn’t exactly a big fan of Katy Perry. The print edition of OK! has taken the rumors even further, according to Gossip Cop.

“According to OK!, Perry’s team feared they would get fired if they showed support for Swift, their boss’s alleged enemy. A so-called ‘source’ tells the tabloid, ‘Even employees and freelancers with little kids who wanted to see Taylor felt it and would be considered a betrayal.”

OK!’s supposed “insider” claims that one employee was forced to have a friend take their child to one of Taylor Swift’s shows. The employee was allegedly sad because she wanted to be there for the kid’s concert. However, Gossip Cop has put the breaks on this story.

“Katy Perry did NOT ban her staff members from attending any of Taylor Swift’s 1989 concerts, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this story. We’re told it’s ‘not true.'”

It appears that the Taylor Swift and Katy Perry feud began when Katy Perry allegedly stole some of Taylor Swift’s dancers. TMZ broke the news last September.

“Taylor Swift believes Katy Perry is a thief… and we’ve learned that’s the basis of their feud. The girl-on-girl war ignited when 3 of Taylor’s dancers jumped ship and joined Katy’s tour. Taylor felt betrayed because she became very close to the dancers and considered them family.”

TMZ added that those dancers actually worked for Katy Perry in the first place, and when Perry’s Teenage Dream Tour ended several years ago, they started working with Taylor Swift. It allegedly got so bad that Taylor Swift wrote “Bad Blood” about Katy Perry. However, this past October, Swift said — in an interview with GQ— that “Bad Blood” had nothing to do with Swift.

“You never say who your songs are about, but you concede that if enough people believe something, it essentially becomes fact. So by not saying who you’re writing about, aren’t you allowing public consensus to dictate the meaning of your work? If everyone assumes that ‘Bad Blood’ is about a specific person, aren’t you allowing the culture to create a fact about your life?”

Swift added that she originally told Rolling Stone it was about losing a friend, because she didn’t want the man who she was seeing at the time thinking it was about him. Still, there are people who either don’t believe Swift or want to keep a feud going. Comments after an article in Us about the GQ interview were mostly negative against Swift.

“Swift is manipulative and thinks just because she doesn’t say a name that her hands are clean. She’s as dirty and backstabbing as they come,” says commenter “xstratusx.”

“Thee thing is, Ms. Swift put out a song and later was interviewed by RS in which she described the scenarios that lead to the said song. Which to us was down right unprofessional and malicious, we may add, ” says Suz.

Meanwhile, we haven’t see pictures of Taylor Swift or Katy Perry together recently. Perry hasn’t talked about the topic much, even when it was rumored that Taylor Swift was trying to sabotage her Super Bowl performance in early 2015. Katy Perry has a new album coming out later this year, so it’s possible that she may finally open up about all the rumors. Do you think the alleged feud with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift is real?
