One Direction Calls It Quits, Group Will Not Return After Planned Hiatus
One Direction has had a brilliant few years. They have become one of the most popular boy bands, and fans of all ages come to see them perform. Initially, One Direction was made famous on The X Factor in the United Kingdom. Their careers began in 2010, and it looks like 2016 may be the year they call it quits on the group.
One Direction was once a group with five members. However, last year, Zayn Malik decided to try his hand at a solo career. While it was assumed he left One Direction on good terms with his mates, it is now being said they no longer have a friendship with Malik.
While the four members of One Direction who are left have been having the time of their lives traveling and performing, there is a planned hiatus happening in March. According to Us Weekly, One Direction will be disbanding after the hiatus. It looks like everyone wants to try their hand at a solo career, although not necessarily in the music world. Rumors of a break-up have been happening for a few months now, but they were initially denied back in November. After almost six years as a group, the One Direction guys are ready to have their own individual fame. While the split is definitely happening, they will release at least one more music video for a song on their latest album.
Harry Styles is probably the most sought after One Direction member by the ladies. He is reportedly dating Kendall Jenner. Many have said they believe this is a career move for the One Direction singer, especially since he has aspirations of doing television and film now. While music isn’t out of the realm of possibilities, Styles wants to primarily act. Liam Payne is also another one who may not end up behind the microphone again. The One Direction member wants to try his hand at songwriting for others as well as himself occasionally. This makes a lot of sense, especially since it is something people have done for One Direction for the last five, almost six years.
It looks like Niall Horan is unsure about what to do when One Direction splits in just a few weeks. Perhaps fans will see him in a successful solo career or something entirely different. He is the One Direction member who denied the full out split of the group back in November, but now it appears it will come to fruition. Louis Tomlinson will become a new father in just a short while. The One Direction star is welcoming a baby with his stylist Briana Jungwirth. When it was announced that Tomlinson was going to be a father, there was some concern about him leaving One Direction. With the hiatus coming up and the band members permanently going their separate ways, things will certainly look different in the pop music world.
There has been a lot of back and forth between One Direction and Zayn Malik, which has fans worried. If the band is indeed calling it quits after their planned hiatus, where will that leave their friendships? According to Hollywood Life, Zayn Malik says One Direction members would not return his calls or remain friendly with him after he chose to exit the group. Initially, it was assumed all the guys would remain friends and that the members of One Direction respected Malik’s decision to walk away. If the guys decide not to remain friends, there will be young hearts broken across the world. One Direction has been a huge phenomenon since arriving on the scene in 2010, and the news of their breakup is going to hit fans in a very hard way.
