‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ben Weston Returning To Cause Trouble

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Chad and Abigail’s recent engagement may not be the happiest time of their lives. DOOL news suggests that actor Robert Scott Wilson will return to the show, meaning that we haven’t seen the last of his character, Ben Weston.

As many Days of Our Lives viewers know, Ben Weston is the former fiance of Abigail Deveraux. Ben, who couldn’t control his anger issues, turned out to be the necktie killer, the murderer who killed Serena Mason, Paige Larsen, and Will Horton. Soon, he’ll be back in Salem to cause trouble.

According to Soap Shows, Robert Scott Wilson revealed via his Twitter account that his fans can expect to see him in Salem yet again as Ben Weston. Wilson says that Ben will make another appearance soon, although he did not give details about when he would return and under what context.

When last Days of Our Lives fans saw, Ben Weston had kidnapped a very pregnant Abigail Deveraux and taken her to a secluded cabin after she found out that he was the necktie killer. The stress sent Abby into premature labor where she gave birth to her son, whom she believed to be Ben’s.

However, Abigail’s true love, Chad DiMera, came to her rescue. After some serious drama, Ben was finally captured and taken to jail, rambling like a madman. Since that time, Days of Our Lives fans have found out that Abigail’s son, whom she named Thomas Jack, is not Ben’s son but was actually fathered by Chad DiMera.

Since Ben likely doesn’t know he isn’t Thomas’ father, this storyline could come into play when Ben returns to Salem in the future. Will he escape prison or be acquitted for some odd reason? It’s also possible that Ben will return to stand trial and that Abigail will come face to face with her former fiance and attacker for the final time as she recounts the traumatic details of their time together.

No matter what happens on Days of Our Lives to bring Ben Weston back in the picture, fans will surely not want to miss the moment when he finds out Abigail’s son isn’t his, but his loathed enemy, Chad DiMera’s. It should make for some good scenes to come.

Meanwhile, other big Days of Our Lives character and cast news has recently been dropped. Kate Mansi, who plays the fan favorite character of Abigail Deveraux, has announced that she has left the NBC soap. She will last air sometime in May, and no word has been given on whether or not the character has been recast, although with all the deaths that have occurred in Salem recently, it seems safe to say that fans don’t want to see Abby dead.

Another big casting shakeup came in the former of a Days of Our Lives veteran. Joseph Mascolo, who played Stefano DiMera for decades on the show, has officially left DOOL. His character was shot and killed by Hope Brady and likely will not be rising from the ashes to turn up shockingly alive in the future as in years past.

Joe Mascolo reportedly left Days of Our Lives due to health issues he’d been having, and the members of the show have taken to their social media accounts to wish him well. Stefano’s death, along with the death of Dr. Daniel Jonas, has shaken up Salem and there is so much more drama to come.
