Ronda Rousey Spotted Posing Mostly Nude For ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’ [Photos]

After appearing in the 2015 issue of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition, Ronda Rousey is set make a return to the magazine’s annual issue. Only this time, Rousey is set to turn up the heat and reveal a little more of herself than fans may have anticipated.

According to Hollywood Life, Rousey was recently spotted in a photo shoot for the magazine in Petite Martinique Island. With a beautiful beach as the backdrop, Rousey wore a slim bathing suit with cheetah body paint and appeared almost completely nude.

Sports Illustrated teased that Rousey would once again be a part of the swimsuit edition when an editor released a picture of the back of a bikini-clad woman. Although it was fairly clear that the picture was of Rousey, a recent image posted on Twitter confirmed her part with the magazine.

“It’s official! @RondaRousey will wear NOTHING BUT BODY PAINT for #SISwim2016,” the picture was captioned.

According to Bleacher Report, Rousey is not the only model who will be wearing nothing but body paint in the coming swimsuit issue. Apparently, a select group of the other models will join Rousey in her sexy reveal.

Given Rousey’s incredible year in the spotlight as a UFC fighter in 2015, there was little doubt that Sports Illustrated would want her back a second time. Although Rousey suffered her first loss in the ring to Holly Holm, 2016 is already proving to be another hype-filled year for the fighter, who is set to make her way to television this month.

In fact, along with the news of her swimsuit shoot, the MMA fighter is set to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. Given the popularity of the show, it is possible that Rousey will announce the date of her rematch with Holm during the episode, although nothing officially has been released.

“There has already been talk of having Holly Holm either out during the monologue, Weekend Update, or in a sketch to announce the official rematch,” a source close to the situation told Hollywood Life.

It will be an interesting to see if Holm appears on the show with Rousey. This is especially true given how hard Rousey took the loss and her determination to get back on top of the MMA world.

Rousey appeared low in spirits following the passing of the new year, despite the months since her surprising loss to Holm. In her first post to Twitter for 2016, Rousey quoted William Shakespeare’s depressing line in Twelfth Night, “I was adored once too.”

According to SMH, Rousey admitted that her loss to Holm was particularly difficult and that all she wants to do is win back her title.

“I’m just really f—ing sad,” she stated back in December. “I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f**king do it.”

Whether or not Rousey uses her appearance on Saturday Night Live to announce the rematch with Holm is yet to be seen. With that in mind, fans will likely have to wait until Rousey’s Saturday Night Live episode airs on January 23 to find out.

According to Variety, Rousey will joined on set by Selena Gomez as her musical guest. Beyond that, little is known about what other guests will make their way onto the episode. Even if Rousey doesn’t announce the date of her next fight with Holm, her first time hosting the hit comedy show should be very entertaining.

Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition will be released in February.
