Madonna’s Emotional Performance: Singer Weeps Profusely During “Like a Virgin” [Video]

Madonna is currently making European rounds for her MDNA tour, and during her stop in Berlin, she cried like a baby performing “Like a Virgin.”

Madonna did a stripped down, intimate performance of one of her greatest songs, proving that the Queen of Pop still has some surprises up her sleeve, even at 53. “Madonna was beat, incomplete, sad and blue as she took the stage and performed a slowed-down version of her mega-hit, Like A Virgin in front of her adoring fans,” wrote PerezHilton of the heart-rending performance.

A concertgoer captured the highly emotional video, showing fans cheering Madonna on as she struggles to finish the song, breaking down into tears partway through and needing support from one of her dancers, reports E!.

Of course, Madonna wouldn’t be Madonna without a fair share of controversy. On the MDNA tour, she’s stirred up some trouble by flashing her derriere and a nipple during a performance of “Human Nature” in Istanbul and Rome. She also has a new single coming out, called “Turn Up the Radio,” set to launch on August 5th, notes MTV UK.
