Kanye West’s New Single, ‘Facts,’ Talks Bill Cosby, Steve Harvey, Nike: Michael Jordan Unimpressed

Kanye West had quite a year in 2015, and he ended that year with a bang. Us Weekly reports that on New Year’s Eve, Kanye West dropped his new song, “FACTS,” and in it, the singer mentions a number of people. Kayne’s wife, Kim Kardashian, was the first to announce the release of the song on Twitter.

Who is mentioned in Kanye West’s new song? Bill Cosby gets put down, which comes right at the time that Cosby is charged with second-degree felony for aggravated assault.

“Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget names just like Steve Harvey?”

Yup, Steve Harvey took it from Kanye West, too. And Nike didn’t get off without mention.

“Nike out here so bad, they can’t give s**t away. Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves / Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away.”

According to SB Nation, Nick Young got a shoutout from Kanye West in his new song, too and he was pretty happy about it, and about the Nike dis.

In fact, Rolling Stone reports that Young is crediting Kanye West with helping the Los Angeles Lakers get their year off to a fine start with 2-0 streak.

As for the Nike reference, MTV News reports that Kanye West also brought up his sneaker rivalry with Michael Jordan.

“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.”

Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, found the line in Kanye’s song very entertaining and took to Twitter to express his amusement. He then added a GIF of Michael Jordan laughing.

With 2015 behind him, what does Kanye West plan for 2016? Apparently time in England and a very posh lifestyle is at the top of the list. Mirror reports that Kanye West and his wife are currently purchasing a plot of land in the English countryside for half a million pounds. Kanye had plenty of opportunities to scope out potential properties when he visited Oxford University last year, and when he was the headliner for the Glastonbury Festival. According to a source, the couple plans to build a residence fit for royalty on the English property.

“Kanye takes his image very seriously and he currently has his sights set on an aristocratic lifestyle. While he will always have a home in LA – where Kim’s expansive family are based – he likes the idea of having a manor across the pond.”

In addition, the source revealed that Kanye West wants to have a medieval portrait done of his family, including his two children, North and Saint, that ultimately will hang in their English residence.

“The portrait is all part of his upper-class image. It will probably hang in their home in LA to begin with until the English country home is ready.”

Those sound like some big plans for Kanye West in the coming year. And according to GQ, Kanye has already started 2016 off as the most stylish man of the year. Well, at least when it comes to workout style, since he was seen sporting a 5-layer workout outfit to get in his exercise in the chilly January air.

Whatever 2016 brings to Kanye West, it will include much success in his career. With that and a fabulous family, he can’t steer himself wrong on this journey of life. Good luck to Kanye and his family as they make their dreams come true.
