Kate Middleton: How She Can Teach Other Celebrity Moms, 34th Birthday Celebrations Commence For The Duchess

On Kate Middleton’s 34th birthday, it is only right to draw attention to all that the Duchess has achieved in the past year and pay homage to various facets of her character that leave onlookers wanting to learn more about the beautiful royal. From her efforts as an advocate for children’s mental health and education to her intentions to begin her own organic food line, all while looking like she stepped off the runway and mothering two adorable children in a hands-on manner, Kate has earned a bit of recognition.

However, aside from the fashion and the appearances as an advocate, it is important to really focus on how Kate truly compares to other celebrity moms, in regards to how she handles the frenzy and busy times while still maintaining her place in her children’s life as the main caregiver, alongside William.

The Daily Mail recognizes how Middleton should be held apart from other celebrity moms and how various celeb moms could learn a thing or two from the Duchess of Cambridge. Amanda Platell of the celebrity publication gives her honest opinion about Kate, one which many surely stand by.

“I salute Kate and William for their bid to give their youngsters some sense of normality. Some have criticised them for retreating from public life. It is true that last year the Cambridges did fewer royal engagements than 94-year-old Prince Philip. But the longer their children are allowed to grow up away from the spotlight the better — not just for their sakes, but for the future of the monarchy. And if that means seeing less of Kate and William, then it’s surely a price worth paying.”

Platell notes how the life of a celebrity mother must not be easy with the entire world watching parenting techniques and the celebrities feeling as if they are in a goldfish bowl. However, as Platell notes, “too many of them seem incapable of offering the stable, disciplined existence that is surely key to raising a well-adjusted child.”

Whereas Kate and William fight for their own family’s needs and stability, other mothers, such Victoria Beckham, seem to use their “tribe as much an accessory to her fashion career as her collection of Hermes handbags.” Not to mention Angelina Jolie, who is always sure to whisk her children along with her on private jets and to tow along a troupe of nannies.

Well done to Kate and William for redefining celebrity parenting in a time when the two words seem contradictory at best.

Kate likely is soaking up her time with her little ones on this very special day. The Duchess turns 34 today and, as previously mentioned, can look back on the past year feeling content with efforts and all that has resulted from it. Giving birth to a gorgeous little Princess and making a name for herself as an advocate, as opposed to purely an image, while carrying on royal duties like a star and fighting for her family’s traditions makes it a pretty successful year, overall.

E! News pays tribute to Kate by way of reminding of her candid charm and her ability to bring a sense of sweet normalcy to the royal lifestyle.

“While the Duchess of Cambridge has provided the hoi polloi with plenty of reasons to adore her over the years, from her way with hats to that whole remaking-the-monarchy thing, one of the biggest weapons in her considerable charm arsenal has always been her candid moments, the times when her facial expressions and she’s-just-a-regular-girl-turned-royal appeal have won the day.”

Kate is wished the happiest of birthdays.
