Did Lady Gaga, Taylor Kinney Share Nude Post-Sex Selfie For Magazine Cover?

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney took love-making as a form of art to the next level, according to a recent article in People.

The couple engaged in apparently wild sex on a canvas, snapping a photograph afterwards in a mirror. Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga emerged after the act covered in paint, a moment captured for the cover of V Magazine‘s Pre-Spring Issue.

Serving as the guest editor for the issue, Lady Gaga took self-expression literal by adding intimate moments of herself and people she calls the “Fashion Guard” to a record-breaking 16 different covers for the publication. Taylor Kinney is included in that group, as Lady Gaga detailed in an essay for the edition.

“These are people who have kept me and protected me over the years, because they’ve wanted me to survive…that’s part of the message of this issue: we have to carry each other through the decades and take care of one another and honor each other’s work…I am saying thank you to all these people for everything they’ve given to me…I want to make sure the world knows who they are…it’s a guard of people…I call them my Fashion Guard!”

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have been together since meeting on the video for “You And I” in 2011. On Valentine’s Day in 2014, Taylor Kinney asked Lady Gaga to marry him, presenting her with a heart-shaped diamond ring to seal the engagement.

The cover showing Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney represents an item off their bucket list, according to The Source. Lady Gaga added that she and Taylor Kinney have discussed doing this for several years.

“Since we first met, Taylor’s been painting and drawing all over me. Years ago, when we were secretly living in San Diego and crashing on the floor of a beach shack, we never wore shoes. He told me he wanted to make love to me on a canvas. And though he made many murals on my body in the wee, small hours of our stoked, gypsy mornings with our friends, for whatever reason we never got around to it.”

All the proceeds from the issue will to the singer’s Born This Way Foundation, adding a special element to working on this issue for the two stars. In describing the cover art, Lady Gaga explained the moment as making love with Taylor Kinney amidst a violent word.

“We made love on this canvas on a Sunday in Chicago. We made love amidst chaos. We talked about shootings. We made love amidst terrorism. And we talked about how people’s hearts are also suffering all over the world as they watch and witness a swell of violence. We made love amidst violence.”

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney aren’t the only two famous individuals who have posed nude for a magazine cover recently. Demi Lovato did so for two different magazines, appearing in the buff for a surprise shoot, in addition to a planned photo session. Khloe Kardashian did the same most recently, adding a nude photo shoot to her December to-do list.

Other covers have caused controversy, however. Miranda Kerr’s fully nude photograph resulted in Harper’s Bazaar being pulled from an Australian grocery store’s shelves recently. Similar outrage hasn’t been expressed about the cover art from Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney however.

V Magazine is selling all 16 covers designed by Lady Gaga — including her intimate moment with Taylor Kinney — in a boxed set. Pre-orders for the entire magazine compilation can be secured on their website’s shop for $300 in a deluxe case.
