Lil Wayne is on his way to Dubai — but before he goes, he is showing fans that he has forgiveness in his heart for people that it seemed he had burned bridges with long ago. In particular, Lil Wayne’s spirit of reconciliation definitely surprised fans when he suddenly reunited with both Birdman and Christina Milian.
Will Lil Wayne be reaching out to other people he’s had beefs with in the near future? As it appears, Young Thug (Birdman’s “nephew”) might be getting a rain check on a hug from Lil Wayne because he will be in Dubai.
Lil Wayne is going to be in one of the richest cities in the world to play a private show within the week before his Dedication tour — and it is also around the same calendar date as the Haiti earthquake (which appears to be one of Lil Wayne’s favorite charities).
Lil Wayne’s performance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a dream come true for some Lil Wayne fans in Dubai that have been campaigning for him to come there for several years on Faceboook.
No other references online have appeared about Lil Wayne going to Dubai before 2016 — and it can be assumed it is his first visit. Gulf News reports that the January 14 event will be “hosted by the VIP Room at the JW Marriott Marquis. The exact location inside the hotel has yet to be confirmed.”
About the location where Lil Wayne will perform in Dubai, Time Out Dubai says, “In the last year, VIP Room at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel has hosted many big name stars including rapper Flo Rida and Tyga. The brand – which originates from Monaco – also held a series of nights at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last November, seeing the likes of Akon, 50 Cent, and Ludacris perform.”
However, is Lil Wayne going to Dubai to party with sheikhs or to advocate for the people of Haiti? After all, Lil Wayne has been integral in raising money for people that are still rebuilding Haiti — and the sixth anniversary of the Haiti earthquake is on January 12, 2016.
Recently, Lil Wayne gave Santa a little bit of help in Haiti on December 18, according to Vibe, and it is hardly Lil Wayne’s first disaster relief effort, according to the fan-published website, Lil Wayne HQ. For this reason, it would not be surprising to hear that when Lil Wayne visits Dubai, he might remind people about Haiti.
Meanwhile, in addition to Birdman and Lil Wayne being pictured sitting next to each other at Drake’s NYE party, according to Billboard, the two are now reported to be working on their relationship — and perhaps their lawsuit woes.
TMZ reported on January 4 that Mick Maine is the peacemaker and arranged a phone call a couple of hours before Drake’s party to work out a deal between Birdman and Lil Wayne.
Although it was mentioned that Lil Wayne and Birdman did discuss their friendship and the lawsuit — this does not mean that Lil Wayne is going to officially drop his $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records in the near future.
Of course, the real reconciliation in Lil Wayne’s life is that he appears to be back together with Christina Milian — and is denying buying a diamond ring for an Instagram model, according to XXL.
If Lil Wayne is buying anyone a diamond ring soon — it might be for Christina Milian. Latin Post wrote on January 7 that “Christina Milian recently tried on not one but four engagement rings during an episode of her Turned Up reality show, fueling speculation she and rapper boyfriend Lil Wayne might be ready to move to the next level in their relationship.”
Sadly, fans may not know more details about Lil Wayne and Christina Milian unless they are revealed in the last episode of season 2 of Turned Up that airs on January 12. After that, speculations may not be able to be made unless Christina Milian goes with Lil Wayne on his trip to Dubai on January 14.
Naturally, Lil Wayne might also be too busy for relationships in the near future because his Dedication tour starts on January 21 in El Paso, Texas, at the El Paso County Coliseum, according to TicketMaster.
