Ben Higgins Ex-Girlfriend Says ‘The Bachelor’ Had No Closure Over Their Relationship

Ben Higgins is on The Bachelor 2016 and trying to find love, but his ex-girlfriend is now speaking out and saying that Ben didn’t have closure on their relationship when it ended. It sounds like Ben might have not been totally over her when all was said and done between these two. OK! Magazine shared what Ben’s ex, Shaelin Adams, had to say about how he handled things when they ended between them. Reportedly, Ben might have a little trouble getting over his relationships.

Ben and Shaelin met while they were both at Indiana University and started dating. The two were together for about two-and-a-half years and it sounds like their relationship was great until things went downhill. Shaelin decided to take a job in another state and Ben Higgins didn’t follow her. Their relationship just came to an end. Shaelin actually went to Texas for her job. She shared about her choice saying, “I was young and selfish and I didn’t want to have Ben tied to me.”

Shaelin said that Ben Higgins told her over the phone several times that he still loved her after she moved. She shared that it was hard for Ben to let go. She didn’t feel like there was any closure on his side. Now, fans have to wonder if Ben Higgins is over her now; but, he must be, since he is looking for love once again.

Wet Paint shared some details about Ben Higgins ex-girlfriend Shaelin. Ben used to tweet about her, mentioning that she was his best friend and saying he would miss her when she was headed to Costa Rica. It looks like they split around May 2013, which means it has been years since they split up and Ben should be doing just fine. The two have never openly acted like their relationship had problems. It was simply because of distance that it didn’t work out. After attending Indiana University, Ben went back to Colorado and Shaelin took the job in Texas.

Ben Higgins joined The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe and didn’t win her over. In the end, she ended up with Shawn Booth and they are still together. They are reportedly happy, engaged, and living together. Hopefully a wedding will end up happening for Kaitlyn and Shawn soon. Now, Ben is using The Bachelor to see if he can find love with one of the women that ABC has chosen. The show is just one week in, but it is obvious to viewers that they brought in a few really good women for him to meet this season.

It is unknown why Shaelin is speaking out now, but it doesn’t look like she still has had any contact with Ben Higgins. For some reason, she wanted to share her side of the story or get her name out in the headlines. Now, she has done it. If things don’t work out for Ben Higgins with the girl in the series, it may take him a bit to get over the relationship, but Ben obviously moved on from Kaitlyn Bristowe just fine.
