Samsung Galaxy S III Goes On Sale At Verizon Wireless On July 10


The Samsung Galaxy S III will arrive at Verizon Wireless retail stores and online starting on July 10. America’s largest wireless carrier announced the Android powered devices release date on Tuesday.

The Smartphone which comes equipped with 4G LTE technology will be available in 400 markets across the United States including 304 LTE supported Verizon markets.

The Galaxy S III features an impressive set of features including Google Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” and a speedy 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 2GB RAM. Photo enthusiasts will also appreciate the devices 8-megapixel camera and its front-face 1.9-megapixel camera which is perfect for video conferencing and self-capture picture and video taking.

Also included is a crisp 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display which can play back high-definition video and playback video captures on the device 8-megapixel camera.

The Google Android-powered smartphone also offers two variations, the 16GB model which will sell for $199.99 and the 32GB model which comes at a cost of $249.99, both options which feature two-year contracts with voice and data plans.

Verizon customers will also have access to two color options: Marble White or Pebble Blue.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has already become a best seller in Europe and given its vast amount of features and the number of Android users still awaiting Google Android 4.0 it should be a success. A recent study has found that only 10.9 percent of all Google Android based devices are operating Google Android 4.0 because of fragmentation issues between device manufacturers.
