Khloe Kardashian & Dr. Oz Offer Diabetic Rob Weight Loss Tips: Kris Jenner Considers $1M Bribe & 5150 Hold

Rob Kardashian gained 100 pounds during the past three years. Over the holidays, he got a wake-up call in the form of a medical crisis when he was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with diabetes. Now, with Kardashian family members so concerned that they’re planning an intervention, Dr. Mehmet Oz told Us Weekly his weight loss advice for Rob.

Reflecting on the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and the fact that Kardashian had to be rushed to the hospital, Dr. expressed his sympathy.

“I feel badly that Rob Kardashian was rushed to the emergency room with complications from diabetes,” said the host of the Dr. Oz Show. “It can be life threatening… A lot of groups think, ‘Oh, it’s just a little bit of sugar in my blood.’ No, it’s not. It’s deadly. It’s like having broken pieces of glass shard inside your body, scraping up the delicate lining of the arteries. It’s devastating, catastrophic, if you don’t address it.”

Is it what Rob is eating, or what’s eating Rob? Dr. Oz believes that it is the psychology involved rather than his health that’s the real problem. The physician recalled doing a show with Richard Simmons, who had lost 100 pounds, and Dr. Oz decided to do an episode devoted to 100 individuals who had also shed 100 pounds to find out their weight loss secrets.

“They didn’t have 100 different answers. They had one: self-esteem,” revealed Dr. Oz. “They all realized that when they appreciated that they were worth it, losing the weight became easy.”

Therefore, his advice to Rob is to imagine that his BFF was doing something harmful, and to tell himself what he would tell his best buddy.

“When your best friend is doing something to themselves that hurts them, you tell them. So, imagine that someone that you love dearly is putting in their mouth something that they shouldn’t put in their mouth, and that because of that they are becoming morbidly obese. What do you tell them? Whatever you tell that person, you tell yourself. And that’s my advice to Rob.”

Kardashian may soon find himself the target of a family intervention featuring Kris Jenner, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians co-stars are reportedly worried that after putting on 100 pounds in the past few years, Rob still doesn’t regard his health as a problem.

“They’re concerned he’s not taking the situation seriously,” a source revealed to Us.

Instead of an intervention, Dr. Oz suggests that the family members focus on serving as role models for Kardashian, inviting him to join them on a weight loss plan.

“The best way to support someone who’s got a weight issue is to be a role model and say, ‘Listen, I’m going on a program to fix my body — you want to come along for the ride? Help me do it, and if you want, you can do it too,'” he recommended.

By serving as role models, the Kardashians are providing examples to Rob rather than engaging in “finger pointing,” pointed out Dr. Oz.

Dr. Oz recently went through his own wake-up call after getting criticized for constantly featuring various weight-loss supplements on his talk show. Since then, he’s focused more on back-to-basics diets for weight loss, such as his Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan, as the Inquisitr reported.

Khloe Kardashian Feels Frustrated With Rob

However, Khloe has a different idea for how to help her brother Rob, reported E! News.

After recently succeeding with her own weight loss goals, she recently revealed her own slim-down insights and her advice to Rob.

“I told Rob a while back: the best form of revenge is a good body,” she shared. “There is literally no downfall to working out your blues in the gym! You’ll feel better, and the by-product will be a fierce bod.”

In addition, Kardashian admitted she’s frustrated.

“Rob is such a great guy. He’s charming, charismatic, everything. That’s what’s so infuriating. I’m like, ‘Where is your will to live life? Let’s be around people!’ He has to figure it out for himself, and he has so many people who want to help him.”

Kris Jenner Has Her Own Ideas Of How To Help Rob

Among those people is momager Kris Jenner, who is bribing Rob with $1 million to enter rehab, reports the Mirror.

Kris feels that rehab is the right option for Rob, and hopes that by enticing him with money, she can persuade him to make the decision. Jenner also reportedly thinks it might make a great sub-plot for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and allegedly told Kardashian that if he does accept the million dollar bribe, he needs to go to rehab during the reality show’s hiatus.

However, Jenner also has another idea, a source told Radar Online.

“Kris has said she would potentially try to implement a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold on Rob, because some of the Kardashians feel that his life could be in danger right now,” revealed that source.

Moreover, insiders revealed to Radar that despite the diabetic diagnosis, Rob has been eating junk food and drinking Red Bull. Kardashian is also allegedly hiding out in his sister Khloe’s home and ordering-in food such as fries and pizza, seemingly self-defeated.

As for that offer of a million dollars?

“He has refused Kris’s offer of $1 million to get the help he needs,” said Radar‘s source. “He has also refused to let her give him a team of psychologists and therapists.”
